THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN POSTED AT THE BLUE EAGLE GYM (at exactly 8 am—the bulletin boards were delivered and then unveiled for viewing.

NEXT STEPS (from ADMU’s official site):

1. ACCEPTED APPLICANTS must confirm their respective slots in the Loyola Schools by submitting the required documents to our office within the confirmation period of March 8, 2010 to April 10, 2010, 12:00 noon.:

a. ORIGINAL FOURTH YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REPORT CARD (Form 138)
b. CLEAR PHOTOCOPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF THE ACCEPTED APPLICANT (Please present Original or Certified True Copy for verification)
c. FILLED-OUT REPLY SLIP IN RESPONSE TO LETTER FROM THE ATENEO REGISTRAR (this letter will be sent together with your acceptance letter)
d. CONFIRMATION FEE OF PHP 4,000.00
Note: Graduates of International Schools, whether here or abroad, who cannot submit the report card on or before the specified deadline, may conditionally confirm their slot by instead submitting the following:

i.) Certification of Graduation from the High School Principal/Headmaster with the exact date of release of the report card
ii.) Letter of non-withdrawal from conditional confirmation signed by the applicant and parents.

Confirmation in your allocated course will be made on a first-come-first-served basis. There is a maximum number of slots available for your course and you are not assured of a slot. So confirm as soon as you have all the required documents! If by the time you confirm, your course has already been filled up, you will have to accept an alternative course.

All instructions indicated above are found in your acceptance letter.
2. WAITLISTED APPLICANTS may submit a written appeal to the Office of Admission and Aid on or before March 30, 2010, Tuesday, 5:00 pm. Fourth Year High School Grades and other additional information that may help the Committee decide on your appeal must be attached to the letter.

3. REQUESTS FOR CHANGE OF COURSE
Letters of request for change of course may be submitted to the Office of Admission and Aid on or before April 12, 2010. Accepted applicants must confirm their slots before requesting for a change of course. Decisions on your request will be released on April 16, 2010.

4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International Students must submit the following requirements to the Office of the Registrar after confirmation of slot:

a. A photocopy of their passport (bring the original for verification)
b. Appropriate visa for enrollment (The “no valid visa, no enrollment” policy is strictly implemented.)
Note: The Student visa is issued by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate at the country of origin. Visa processing usually takes three months. Please inquire at the nearest Philippine Embassy/Consulate for proper instructions.
c. Valid ACR / I-Card
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS OF DUAL CITIZENSHIP
Dual citizens must present both of their passports (Philippine and foreign passport) to the Office of the Registrar. They will be enlisted as Filipinos.

International Students and dual citizens who fail to submit the required documents to the Office of the Registrar on or before April 30, 2010 will not be allowed to enroll

6. OTHERS

a. FRESHMAN applicants falling under the second application period will receive decision letters in February 2010.
b. TRANSFER applicants must make sure to submit their application forms and other requirements on or before April 16, 2010, Friday. Results shall be released in the first week of May 2010. Decision letters will be ready for pick-up thereafter.7. INCOMPLETE FORMS – were not processed

YES, a few hours ago ACET site went live but went down again afterwards—let me say that my daughter saw her name online, but she didn’t want me to announce her standing. She doesn’t want me to brag or whatever. And I am respecting her decision for that.

The results will be posted at the Blue Eagle Gym (come early to see for yourself the delivery and unveiling of the Bulletin Boards—usually by 7am, containing the results and the Best of the Best SY 2010-2011 . The latter was posted yesterday here but it seems not be available anymore.

The Ateneo Freshman Merit Scholarship is a distinction that includes a full tuition and fees grant for any undergraduate course of the awardee’s choice.

Every year, thousands of students all over the Philippines apply for a place in the Ateneo, but because of the highly competitive nature of the application process, only very few eventually make it to the freshman class. And of these very few, there are those who have excelled in the Ateneo College Entrance Test, who distinguished themselves in their respective high schools and who also show great promise for the future – truly the best of the best.

In recognizing their excellence, the Ateneo likewise acknowledges their potential for even greater achievement not only in academics, but also in the service of God and nation.

I called up the Ateneo this morning and I was informed that the results will be posted on Saturday, 16 January 2010. So guys, keep your cool, don’t waste unnecessary energies on being anxious and impatient. Enjoy your weekend…and yes, PRAY!

From the first week of January, many would be keenly awaiting the results for ACET School Year 2010-2011 and UPCAT School Year 2010-2011. The results will be released, both online and physically in the college campuses, probably in the same venues (and websites) as in the previous years:

• ACET outside the Blue Eagle Gym (at www.ateneo.edu/results.php—This will be updated)

• UPCAT in the Office of Admissions, the new building next to the building housing the Solidor Hall (at upcat.up.edu.ph/results/—to be updated)

For School Year 2009-2010, the ACET results were posted on 10 January 2009, while the UPCAT results were posted on 17 January 2009. With the official working day beginning on Monday, 4 January, expect both the ACET and UPCAT results to be released any day and any time from this date onwards. As in the past years, PROMISE, I will be posting announcement and updates here in The D Spot as soon as any of them are posted officially. I will also try to accommodate as much as I can, as in the previous years, those who are in the provinces and those who cannot come to the UP campus to physically check on the results.

In the meantime, do enjoy your holidays—have a blessed Christmas, and a Happy New year with your families and loved ones. And GOOD LUCK! Do not worry unnecessarily! No matter how much you stress yourself out, you cannot anymore change the answers you placed and change the grades that you submitted. You will go to ADMU or UP if it is meant to be.

And on the time that the websites become live and you do not see your names in the online list, do not totally give up. Go to ADMU or UP, or call them up and ask advice on what your options are. The results of the tests, for those who passed, are final, yes. But there have been students who appealed and were given the chance. There could also have been mistakes somewhere, though these are really isolated cases, like high school grades not encoded correctly, or forms not properly filled out. There were those in the waiting list who finally were admitted after fulfilling certain requirements. And of course not all those who passed would enroll in UP or ADMU, leaving some slots available. Don’t lose hope.

Hello everyone!
I was just reading this post when I noticed many of you post their cellphone numbers and email addresses here.

In behalf of mam D, I would like you to ask to please refrain from doing so. It violates netiquette, and, at the same time, you are also letting yourself to be open to pranks and other stuff. Be wary of your actions! If you would really like to talk to her to give personal details, I would suggest that you should contact her on her email address, which I believe is posted here in this site somewhere.

I know that waiting is really hard and it makes you really really anxious. I, for one, has also experienced the same anxiousness last year, as I waited for the UPCAT and ACET results. But worry not too much! Whether you pass or fail, it will always be a matter of God’s plan for you. So instead of killing yourself by trying to think about the results and panicking too much, I would suggest that you relax, pray and just believe in what have you done on the test day itself. Nothing will happen if you worry to much. It will make the excitement much more of a burden for you.

kc may pattern and release ng ateneo kung ttgnan mu mga previous years i2 un:
sy 2006-2007 – jan 7
sy 2007-2008 – jan 6
sy 2008-2009 – jan 5
sy 2009-2010 – jan 10
kung ttgnan nyo sa calendar yan ung mga first saturdays but in last year’s case ung first saturday walang pasok sa namove sa next which is jan 10, same as this year. first sat ay 2 which is walang pasok so move sa next…......so kung ngaun nga lumabas it would be weird.

It still hasn’t been updated, my name still appears on it. :)) [I passed the ACET last year. :3] I still remember how I desperately waited for it. I even installed an auto-refresh plug-in for Firefox that time so that I can know if its updated already or not. HAHA. It didn’t release at exactly 12AM so you guys don’t have to stay up late for it. And the suspense really killed me because it took so long to load because of the low site bandwidth. HAHA. But don’t worry about it too much, guys.

@thinkin: You still have a chance! My friend who’s currently in HealthSciences (an Honor’s Program) in Ateneo didn’t pass LaSalle at all and her supposed course there was even AB Lit.

my first choice in dlsu is hum bio and my 2nd choice is accounting(i think). and i didn’t pass but they told me that there’s a possibility for a reconsideration in the degree program AB-ISA. i’m so nervous that i couldn’t pass any of my chosen schools. it’s my fault though, coz when i took the dlsucet i find it boring so i just answered it w/o reading the questions.. i feel down since i found out that i didn’t pass dlsu..

@thinkin hang in there it doesn’t mean that if you failed dlsu you’d fail the rest. you did say that you winged the test. you wouldn’t do that to the school you REALLY like to get into, correct?

i checked on whatever link was up there and it’s just a message… i don’t understand what’s it about though but it didn’t mention anything about the exam results itself (i actually believe it’s a welcome message O_O)

@daneyyy: my guidance counselor said that if you failed dlsu, you can try getting reconsidered, although you have to go there and fill up a reconsideration form and do whatever they tell you to process it

Hey Guys!

I strongly with motzky. The results will be on the ninth of January, 2010. I think ards is referring to the special entrance exams which will take place on the selected provinces here in the Philippines.

Eitherways, if it will be on the ninth or on the sixteenth, what we have answered can never be changed and that the results will be final. All we’ve got to do is to PRAY to the Lord for whatever outcome He will give us. When all else fails, He will not.

I hope all of us will pass.

REALITY CHECK:
not everyone who took the ACET will pass the ACET

ACET) results will be published on January 17, 2010. The ACET results will determine which students who took the exam last year will be eligible to enrol at Ateneo de Manila University for the school-year 2010 – 2011.

Decisions on freshman applications will be released in January 2010. Decisions on transfer applications will be released in the first week of May 2010.

The ACET results will be posted on the following schedules and venues:

Loyola Heights Campus
Quezon City
January 17, 2010 (Sunday)
7:30 am – 12:30 pm

@the best school admu!: even though i agree with your name but not with ur citations because why’d you believe a site which is not even connected to ateneo themselves…......I’m very sure that it is on the 9th because the guards of Ateneo themselves said it was already announced by the office that it is really on the 9th. As i’ve said earlier on my posts, ACET results are released on a saturday. anyway for those who won’t believe in me, it’s alright because i’d go there on the 9th, i’ll check it and if the results are already there i’ll try to take photos of it. hehehe

It’s probably gonna be on a Saturday. So it’s not on the 17th or 18th. 16’s right.My brother said that results have always come out on a Saturday (and he took the ACET 8 years ago).

Anyway, I’ve heard UPCAT results will also be released on the third week from a classmate whose dad is a prof in U.PD. 3rd week’s gonna be a double whammy you guys. Better brace yourselves!

Tentative yung 16th, I don’t think they’d want to post the results during the black nazarene event since they are indeed a catholic university and it would count as a holiday for them. so going with the flow, the earliest working saturday is the 16th.

I also passed the DLSUCET, Civil Eng.

bakit kaya ganun? The test was easy.. i think and i did a good job, but have this result.. some of my classmates nga that are better than me, waiting list din. nakakapagtaka talaga.

@diego: that, my dear, is a prediction unless UP announces a certain date (so far we’ve only had the announcement that it’s going to be out 3rd week), don’t just jump into conclusions

the ACET link up there is a link of ‘the best of the best’, hence ACET results are not technically out yet. they just posted all the smart people’s names… well, for awhile, since i couldn’t access it too by around 6 pm yesterday

yes I passed ACET! But I wasn’t able to pass for my Honors Courses. (BS Math and BS Applied Math). I only passed on Computer Engineering (non Honors). Can I try for reconsideration? There’s a “change course” option in the procedures for the ACET Passers. Can I try for a change course from a “non-honors course” to an “honors course” (BS Math or BS Applied Math)?

@von- alam ko mining engineering is a good backdoor course sa up. ung tipong kinukuha ng iba para makapsok ng up tas lilipat ng course after. don’t know if that info helps u in any way pero cnabi ko na din! haha. panggulo lng!

I didn’t pass the ACET. Anyway, it was not my target school at all because my course is BS Electronics and Communications Engineering, but I passed DLSU, MAPUA, and UST. I saw in the schoolguide magazine that DLSU does better in BS ECE than the other three. So, I’m thinking of enrolling at the DLSU. What do you guys think? Someone give me advise, please…

@motzky It’s okay. I think Ateneo is not for us. It’s their loss of not accepting diligent and smart students through their system. I think you might want to enter your other options. Anyway, do what you can do. All goods! =)

P.S. For all who didn’t pass the ACET, guys, there’s still the UPCAT. Our valedictorian last year didn’t pass at Ateneo but passed UP, so you guys still have chances. =) All goods.

for those who didn’t pass don’t lose hope just yet.

according to the official website, the results that were released are based on the unofficial list of accepted and waitlisted applicants. so just wait for the individual confirmation letters to see if you made it or not within this month.

I passed Ateneo, AB EU, and I passed UST (Academic Placement, lol)
I didn’t take the DLSU exam.

To the people who are waitlisted, don’t feel bad. I have at least, 3 or 4, former blockmates who were waitlisted. It’s just a matter of a writing a good appeal—I think. And having Jesuit connections won’t hurt as well.

Good luck to everyone. Especially to those who passed. Staying in the Ateneo is a real chore.

@Aspiring BFA ID student : if you want to get reconsidered, then you should go to Ateneo and ask for some sort of procedure there

but what i know is, in writing that letter, you should focus on your positive and best traits, things that’ll make Ateneo regret not accepting you i’m sure you have a lot of great qualities that ADMU usually looks for in a good student

Called up UP admissions. It’s true, the reults are already posted in their Diliman Campus. Website cannot be accessed because of ISP problems and they can not say when it will be solved. You can call 9818500 locals 3827 or 3831 and ask the friendly lady on the other line to check their database if your name is in the list. She will happily accommodate. My daughter did not pass
