THANKSGIVING MASS:  30 Sept at the Church of Gesu (time and details will be announced–including the BONFIRE)

Ateneo Blue Eagles beat La Salle in today’s Game 2, with a score of 62-51.

We could not contain our joy, our tears, just like the players who openly shed tears of joy the moment we knew and felt in our hearts that indeed, Ateneo has won the game, and are Season 71s Champions. This must perhaps be the feelings of the blue crowd which was about 70% of the mammoth crowd. It was obvious–there were more blues than greens.

It was a tension filled 2 hours in the Coliseum, as both teams scored and fumbled along the way. La Salle had their moments, when they were able to bring down Ateneo’s lead from a high of 15 to a low of 3 points. It was the shock of our lives, as they were shooting 3-pointers after another. But it was really Ateneo’s game–a very deserving one, a sweet victory!

CONGRATULATIONS, ATENEO!!!

Am posting some pictures for posterity sake. My mom and her sister joined us (Vince, Alan Jr and Steph), BA watched from home, while Monica watched from Ateneo in Rockwell (where there was one wide screen and one large LCD TV). Thanks, BA for picking us up from Katipunan LRT!
