ANNOUNCEMENT: HOLY MASS for the victims and their families at the RCBC Building in Makati at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, 20 May 2008.
Except for a few TV programs, I do not watch television, particularly the local news, nor do I read newspapers. The local news on television and the newspapers are generally sensationalized. But when I heard of the RCBC Laguna carnage last Friday—where 10 people were lined up and their heads blown off, I thought I had to watch the news and read the newspapers the next day. I need not comment nor talk of my feelings—let me just say that I am sad. Let me offer my prayers and daily Mass for the victims and their families. Let me just ask you to pray for them, too. This is the time when their families need our prayers most. And may the souls of the victims rest in peace.
Yes, it’s sad. Like the RCBC victims and their families, we cannot tell what our future is. What is certain is only TODAY. Might as well live today at its best, show our loved ones and tell them how much we love them, and at the end of the day, thank the Good Lord for giving us another full day. Tomorrow, if it comes is another blessing.

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow them.”
---Louisa May Alcott

One of the tellers who died is my hubby’s distant relative. Her child is barely a year old and now motherless. It’s so sad. I feel sorry for all the victims and their families. The world can be so harsh and sometimes I’m shocked how some people can so cruel and heartless.
weel said mom, its true just like them, they got killed senselessly while at work, hay naku, nakakapanlumo talaga ito,
i join the nation in praying for justice and recovery and healing sa family nila.
Offtopic, ive got an email for u mom sa bracoma@gmail.com, re: work@home, wala na si hubby, kaya i can take blog jobs
Will say a prayer for the family, it’s the most powerful to ease the pain!
Very saddening, indeed. Just yesterday, another massacre in nearby Calamba – 8 dead, 6 injured.
Yes, we hear of such carnage.. and we feel touched but still in a sense remote. But as you say, we don’t know what’s in store.
But we’ve had our own personal tragedies, di ba? They might not land in the papers but it doesn’t make the pain less.
I was also shocked and saddened by the violence that occured in RCBC. I am hoping that justice will prevail and the killers will be caught soon
michel saw it on yahoo news here in France.
Grabeh. Ganun na ba kalala sa bansa natin?
