yes, an empty bench
amidst peace and quiet
refreshing thoughts
calming
inviting…

for one so used
to the city’s hustle and bustle
to the fast paced life
high stakes
stresses
the empty bench
means nothing at all
to remain there
just as an empty bench
each passing day
for one who looks deep within
it holds meaning
heeds to the invitation
for peace and quiet, company
it will be an empty bench no more

empty bench
sitting on the green green grass
are me and my loved ones, my loved ones and me
and the grass and the trees and the skies and the breeze
they are all empty without us sitting on thee
