MJ’s memorial service must have been the most widely covered memorial service in our time. Thanks to technology! I wonder how it would have been with Gandhi had he died in this generation. Oh yes, there’s Lady Di’s–a big one, too.
I can forget everything in MJ’s memorial–seemingly the most beautiful unrehearsed concert ever where the best of the best in the industry were given their chance to pay tribute, the beautiful music, the magic that is in Michael Jackson, and the mystery clouding his death, but not the words and the face of 11-year old Paris, who said,
“Ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine, And I just wanted to say I love him so much.”
And then she broke down in tears. It pierces the heart, really! Nothing could perhaps at this time alleviate the pain that this little girl has in her heart, but knowing that her father is loved by millions of people the world over, might help a bit.

And the thought that in this life, nothing is certain but death, it’s just a matter of time–this is one greatest lesson I have learned from MJ’s death. Could be Gone Too Soon, who knows?
Thank you, MJ! thank you for the music…thank you for the magic…life is indeed a mystery. You will live in the hearts of millions forever.
RIP–now, the King of Pop will bow to the King of Kings. Amen!
“Music has been my outlet, my gift to all of the lovers in this world. Through it, my music, I know I will live forever.” – Michael Jackson
