Biking at the Quezon Memorial Circle

‘Twas a perfect afternoon. Yesterday, Sunday, the weather was cool—seems like summer must really have been over.
Chato, Alan Jr and I decided to go to Quezon Memorial Circle for our usual bike ride. Compared to other days, there were less people this time, I wondered why ( I heard later that there was a storm, signal no 1 in Manila and 3 in some parts in the North.). It was thus more fun to have the whole stretch of the biking lane all to ourselves and a handful of others, with only 1 or 2 going against the flow.
The bike lane was not perfect—there were humps, pot holes and cracks in between. They were challenges, sometimes difficult to contend with, sometimes fun. But it is all right, there were lots of smooth even areas along the way. Just like life. As in a full circle, there are ups and downs. With QMC’s bike lane, there are the downhills and uphills. Going uphill sometimes goes with the huffs and puffs, but there is downhill to look forward to, when while freewheeling the cool breeze caresses one’s face. When one is just a free spirit, at peace, maybe with soulful thoughts, relaxed. By the way, I was careful not to fall despite some deep pot holes, as I would not like to flaw my flawless legs (lol).
The rain was threatening to fall anytime, and it was time to go home. Time to break the spell. Alan Jr and I decided to take one more round while Angela stayed behind. It was our most favorite moment—biking now not only with the cool breeze carressing our faces, this time, the rain, too.

Hi Sexy Mom!
Nice Bonding idea! I think I’m going to try it too with my family before the school year starts.
You’re in fine biking form, Dine! Bravo.
And I like the way you compared the uneven biking lanes with life’s unpredictable ups and downs.
Meh. My summer’s just starting.
you look great in that picture dine!
it’s been months since we last went biking in qc. yup now would be a great time, hindi masyadongmainit.
Ay, you look great riding a bike. I can’t ride a bike, one of the disadvantages of being an only child (until I was 12, that is).
Have a great week, Dine.
