ACET: 10 Jan 2009 The results are already posted at the BEG–Blue Eagle Gym. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU, I JUST CAME BACK! THE WEBSITE IS ALREADY UP, but it is now experiencing heavy traffic, it either slows down or does not connect. But persevere. Note: It is also good to check the website. In the bulletin board, my daughter’s cousin was tagged as W-Waitlisted, but in the website, she has been A-Accepted.
CONGRATULATIONS TO MY DAUGHTER, CHATO. She is waitlisted for her course, but for us it is good enough. We will be able to manage.
The reason I am giving you a screen shot of the webpage is that so you can use it as a diagnostic test in case there is a glitch in the system just like last year. There were cases last year when whatever name was typed, the website would say, If your name does not appear on the screen, this means that you are neither accepted nor waitlisted. This was true even with those who were Accepted or Waitlisted. So typing the name would help–if it gives a different answer, then there is a glitch.
And CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL YOU GUYS WHO PASSED AND ARE WAITLISTED!!!
For those who did not pass, I know the feeling, but it is not the end of the world. I am speaking now as a mother, the way I would talk to you had you been my daughters and sons. The world is big–there are lots of opportunities awaiting where you can shine and be your best. It is all a matter of acceptance, it is all a matter of doing your best in your endeavors. And thank God along the way, He has greater plans for each of you! God bless you all

26 Dec 2008 In a few days, the much awaited results for ACET School Year 2009-2010 and UPCAT School Year 2009-2010, will be released, both online and physically in the college campuses, probably in the same venues (and websites) as in the previous years:
- ACET outside the Blue Eagle Gym (at www.ateneo.edu/results.php)
- UPCAT in the Office of Admissions, the new building next to the building housing the Solidor Hall (at upcat.up.edu.ph/results/)
For School Year 2008-2009, the ACET results were posted on 5 January 2008, while the UPCAT results were posted on 10 January 2008. With the official working day beginning on Monday, 5 January, expect both the ACET and UPCAT results to be released any day and any time after that. I will immediately post an announcement here in The D Spot as soon as any of them are posted officially. That’s a promise.
Good luck to all who took the tests! Don’t worry unnecessarily! Just remember that you will go to UP or ADMU if meant to be. If not meant to be, you will not, no matter how much you worry. The tip here is that if you do not see your names in the online list, don’t totally give up. You can go to UP or ADMU and inquire what your options are. I have personally heard and seen for myself about cases in which there were mistakes somewhere, like high school grades not encoded correctly, forms not filled out properly, or those in the waiting list finally making it after fulfilling some requirements, or after some who passed the tests enrolled in other schools, leaving a few slots available. There is really no harm in trying one’s best.
