  Two days ago, I called the Ateneo and inquired about this much awaited release of the ACET results.

  saludsod: most likely UPCAT results will come out after acet. that has been the trend in the past years. five years ago (in my batch), they released them two weeks after ateneo. but we never know, things might change this year.:)

  to all of you guys, (esp to those who are awaiting the ACET results and will eventually enroll) good luck!:) my ateneo years were the greatest (even if i did end up choosing UP for law).:) enjoy college!:)

  to Kai: well… if ever u won’t pass in ateneo, u can always reconsider your case sa La Salle. most of my classmates (all of them Chinese – which is of no significance or so i hope) who did not pass the DLSUET (tama ba?) went for reconsideration and they 90 percent of them got in. so, of course, u can do that. but i bet uv thought of that already. i just wanna release my stress about this tell-me-now-or-i-might-just-hang-myself dilemma im carrying.

  to person: hahahaha! tagal nga. buti nalang i don’t have to wait for it. i didn’t take it kc eh..

  well, sige na nga magkukwento ako….
  actually im supposed to be in my freshman year already (either in UP Manila or in Ateneo) but here’s what happened: let’s just say i did something really stupid that entailed a whole year of discipline. so hindi ako nakapagpareserve ng slot ko sa ateneo not knowing na it will lead to total forfeiture from my pinaghirapan na acceptance. I actually didn’t make it to the quota of any of my UP choices. I went for reconsideration sa Manila. and then I passed. But then – complicated stuff happened again – and i wasn’t able to defer my enrollment. so my point here is if hindi makapasa at first – make a way. Try going for many schools as u can. Don’t narrow ur choices like what i did. UP at ateneo lang odb ang tapang? That’s why i tried going for Ateneo again followed by UST and Mapua (i passed the latter already woot woot!). SO right now you can’t imagine how eager yet stressed i am with all of this. reliving things all over again.

  BUt hey, this blog gave me something… to do.

  I was so anxious last weekend. Good thing I found this site, it actually helps me to release my worries.

  Wait, I heard UPCAT results last year were posted on Jan. 12? That was the second Saturday of January 2008, right? Does it mean UP’s gonna release this year’s results on the second Saturday of January as well? Eh di magsasabay sila ng Ateneo, ganon? It’ll be a tragic Saturday for me if I won’t get accepted to both.

  Good thing I found this site! Grabe! I thought that I’m the only one making a big fuzz out of it! Kasi sa school namin hindi namin masyadong napag-uusapan eh.. At least in this blogsite halos pareho tayong lahat.. Good thing La Salle was already out last Jan. 2. Sinuwerte naman at nakapasa sa first choice ko. I really hope na makapasa rin ako sa ADMU. It’s my dream school, though little lang ang chances na pumasok ako dun even if makapasa ako sa ACET. Mabigat kasi sa bulsa ng parents ko if I chose ADMU… hehe.. Anyway, I have a cousin na sa ADMU nag-aaral and he asked the OAA kung kelan marerelease yung results. The earliest is Jan. 10 daw. I heard that UPCAT will be release on Jan. 9, 8 pm sa Admission Office sa DIliman. Not sure kung simultaneous na ipopost din sa other campuses. USTET results will be available on the net on Jan. 12 but my aunt who’s currently a Pharma student in UST said that it is released earlier in their school bulltein board so probably Jan. 10 nakapost na daw yun. Anyway, that makes Jan. 10 a big day for all of us! Good luck sa ating lahat! To the future Ateneans, Iskos and Iskas, Lasallians, and Thomasians…

  I’m very anxious for the UPCAT results. Hoping it’s not a major disappointment for me. Ayokong maging subject ng tsismis sa school namin.

  DLSUCET didn’t turn out well for me. So far, I’m the only one in the school who took the DLSUCET and didn’t get in the first choice course. I like my 2nd choice as well, but I’m worried about financial aid results. After not getting into my first choice, I’m not counting on Financial Aid anymore. That’s just like, goodbye DLSU.

  I’m counting on UP now and given my dismal DLSU performance, I am praying fervently that I get into my first choice campus and course – UPD-IE.

  Still waiting for ACET however, to act as fallback. Who knows, I might actually get a financial aid there.

  Hoping to get the results very soon. I don’t want to spend a retreat (from the 9th till the 11th) in anxiety.

  @beibiboi hahaha. nope… hindi ako part ng steps. I just googled it. anyway, I emailed the webmaster ng UST site. All systems go na daw for ONLINE release of USTET on Jan. 12. I emailed him again kung when naman ang sked ng pagpost nito sa UST campus. Like ADMU kasi, usually nauuna daw ipost sa campus nila ang USTET before sa net. Particularly sa bulletin ng campus building kung saan ka nakapsa.

  Last year, the Online ACET results were posted earlier than the results at BEG, which were posted at around 7:30 am. Because of heavy traffic, the site crashed for a while, such that all inquiries gave negative results.

  For UPCAT, I am not sure which came ahead–posting online or physical posting.

  To concerned Seniors,

  I just called UP a couple of minutes ago to make sure that its going to be released on tomorrow, Friday and I did not get a straightforward answer. Apparently the admissions lady or whoever answered the phone is confused as well as to when its going to be posted. She says to just check the site tonight to make sure. I asked what time they usually post it and that answer was the oly definite thing I got out of her. She says they always post around midnight so I suggest that we (as in whoever is eager to know the results) stay up tonight to avoid the imminent crashing of the UP server tomorrow morning or afternoon.

  Anyway, yeah thats it. I just wanted to keep you guys posted on whatever i know. I hope I really make it!!! Good luck to everyone!

And on that period it was said that it’ll be available starting January 9 na then when I checked 10 minutes ago, it was removed. Gah! So technically, the third week of January will be from 12-17. Crap.

  And though I passed La Salle with my first choice pa, maghihirap parents ko. Ateneo na lang. Wahaha.

  may results na USTET! pero not available pa sa net… kung anu yung napasa mong course, dun sa building nila nakapost.

  Ex. You passed bs medical technology (faculty of pharma) mahahanap mo yung list dun sa pharma (or science) building nila. kung architecture course mo nasa engineering building ata.

  I just got a call from my aunt kanina.. napasa ko daw 1st choice ko, medtech..:-)

  I DID NOT PASS THE ACET (

  Yea, I failed.
  I didn’t take the test seriously.
  Well, I’m not saying this becuase I failed but I really didn’t take it seriously.
  I swear! I wasn’t feeling well kasi that time so parang binasta ko na.

  Grade6 pa lang ako, I told myself na sa ADMU ko gusto magcollege. Super!
  In fact, die-hard fan pa nga ako ng Blue Eagles esp. Chris Tiu xD
  Palagi ako nagchi-cheer sa games nila kahit sa TV lang ako nanonood. (I’m from Batangas kasi)
  Super cheer ako kahit Lasallian cousins ko eh.
  Basta gusto ko talaga sa ADMU.
  But I didn’t know kung bakit ko binasta ung test.

  Kanina nung tinitignan ko ung list of passers (@vincentpaul’s multiply) at hindi ko nakita name ko parang okay lang saken.
  Hindi kaagad nagregister sa utak ko na I failed.
  I just realized it when I watched the video (@vincentpaul’s multiply again) and I heard their screams.
  Tapos super happy pa nung iba kasi they passed tas meron din sad ’cause they failed.
  Ayun, dun ko lang narealize na DI AKO PASA SA ADMU.
  Tas nakachat ko friend ko na gusto din talaga sa ADMU, she failed din daw.
  I can’t believe nga eh kasi she’s really smart tapos she failed. Aww.
  Nalungkot na ko nun.
  Ayun, ngayon parang I wanna cry na. (
  Super nagsisisi ako. I shoud’ve taken the ACET seriously.

  Lesson learned:
  1. Do your best in everything.

  If it says that your name isn’t on the list. It means that you were accepted and neither waitlisted. But, don’t loose hope. Some of those who were not able to see their names on the site were on the list posted at the BEG.

  hay… ye know, i didnt pass acet haha! but i’m really hoping na pumasa ako sa upcat cuz wala talaga kameng pampaaral sa la salle nor ateneo. up talaga ko, and sayang lahat ng efforts ko to earn that 500 application fee. three universities kinuhanan ko, up, ateneo and ust, so 500 x 3 din yun = 1500. since we are really not even average sa living i have to earn that money but didnt able to because of my studies, good thing our kapitbahay lend us some money. you guys are very lucky kase you have the money and a much bigger opportunity.

  @Gelo, afaik, hindi pwede. I tried that, to change my course from CE to ECE before the enrolment nung freshie ako. Pumunta pa ako sa admin office ng Eng’g nun para mag-inquire. You have to spend a year with the program that admitted you and pass at least 33 units, I think, before you can apply for shifting or transfer to other programs. Hindi lang yun, some courses prioritize shiftees by grades and some require that you have taken some subjects before you can shift (what if the subjects that they require are not required with your present course?).

  Medyo magulo ata ung last sentence:
  ..some even require that you must have completed certain subjects for you to be eligible to apply for shifting to their program (what if the subjects that they require are not required with your present course?). For example, the EEE dept during my time require that you must have taken Math 53 and Chem 16 so that you can shift to ECE.
  Luckily, both courses were taken by CE freshies on their 2nd sem. Yung ibang kasabay ko magshift na stat di natanggap kasi walang chem 16.

  GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFER FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES

  Students with previous college work from another University or College who want to transfer to the University of the Philippines must satisfy all admission requirements of the accepting unit/college. Each campus has its own specific rules regarding transfer and accepts only a limited number of transfer students. Information on transfer to a specific UP unit may be obtained at the Office of the Registrar of the specific UP campuses (see below).

  In general, you may be evaluated for admission as a transfer applicant provided that you: (1) present all academic units earned outside UP for evaluation; (2) have completed, outside the University, at least 33 academic units equivalent to UP courses; (3) meet the general weighted average (GWA) of the program applied for; Depending on the campus and degree program, the GWA requirement can be as high as 1.5, 1.75 or 2.0 for all the collegiate academic units taken outside UP (excluding vocational courses). University rules prescribe a minimum GWA of 2.0, 86%, or B for transfer admission into any program in the University.   Greetings!this my 2nd time,would like to ask,the school of my daughter is here in Saudi,will UP send out d non-qualifiers slip kaya?until now kc wala pa and also d ACET letter,or sa house sa Pinas ippadala kaya,kc wala pa rin dun,2nd ask,she did not passed both,we plan to appeal,3rd ask,my daughter is consistent first honor from 1st to 3rd year and candidate for validictorian,I heard the 40% grade from 1st to 3rd will go to plus on what score she may get in UPCAT,am I right?pero d pa rin sya nakapasok even waitlisted or did not passed her choosen courses (4)in Diliman and Manila,kahit man lng hindi dun sa apat na napili nya,kahit man lng sana,nakapasok sya pero pwede sya pumuli ng course na may available slot pa,pero hindi rin,is there a possible problem kaya sa ganitong sitwasyon?f we go there to appeal,we have nothing to show them off na letter from them,na nag-take anak ko kapag wala cla i-send,their schul said,kami na ang kukuha mismo sa UP or Ateneo ng status result,Thank you for so much for reading,and pardon me for made this long,just want to clarify all,hope you can help me,God Bless You.its ok for me if u dont show this off in your blog,coz its too long kc.thanks again.

  most of the working class and HS studnets know that UST is the place for UP-ATENEO-LA SALLE and even UAnP flunkers.

  Why choose UST if you pass Ateneo, La Salle or UP?? It is very obvious that there arent so many smart graduates from UST. Most Thomasians are either dumb or average students (except for those who are pursuing medicine who probably came from UP- ATENEO-LA SALLE as well).
