And then it came, “Happy birthday!”—a text message from first son, J. Angelo. I have been in front of SexyMac for almost an hour now, and could not write a blog post—my birthday blog post. Almost everyone, my family, barkada and friends very close to my heart, colleagues, plurkmates, multiply and facebook friends have sent me their warm greetings (from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you all), but him. Now, he completes the circle. Not that the other members of the family do not matter—they all do, but it’s simply that Angelo and his family live on their own, and at the zero hour this early morning, he was the only one not around. Tonight will be another of those nights when the family will gather together—all 7 of them my children, hubby, DIL, 2 grandkids, my mom, and moi, all 13 of us (soon 14!).
Now I realize that time flies so fast. It was only 366 days ago, seems like only yesterday when I wrote my last birthday post, here I am writing another one. Here I am feeling like there is so much that I want to do—my birthday starts a new chapter in my life. Like most of you know, I have quit my job, effective close of business of 13 February, a Friday. Now I am looking at my options. I am not in a hurry, at this age and stage, one takes a job that gives not only moolah, but pleasure as well, which will make me smile at the end of the day or night. I want a job that will allow me to reach out to other people—yes, provide meaningful jobs maybe. A tall order? Not really, I guess I am close to that.
I would like to continue writing, sharing ideas on the joy of living, loving, and learning. A lot of parents and teenagers alike write to me for advice and help, particularly with their schooling, and I want to continue doing this, a Dear Ate Helen Dear Kuya Cesar thingey (you younger ones do not know this, I supppose—better yet, Dear Abbey).
Now this blog post has become a wish list—may all my dreams come true, including making my Angelo and family, Mox, BA, Vince, Chato, Pau, Alan Jr, hubby and mommy smile and be happier—they’re my no. 1.
And for myself,
if i could, i would
sing at the top of my voice
dance to my heart’s delight
shout what’s in my heart
delight in what i have
wish for what i do not
pirouette, spin, flip, float
mingle, tickle, giggle
it’s fun, not a sham
make believe? oh well
call it crazy, what a frenzy
but this is me, i am me
if you feel like it, if you really do
why not come, share my world
no one’s really watching
would you, if you could?
Finally, I would like to thank the Good Lord for the wonderful blessings of life, love—family and friends, and more!
Well, now, happy birthday to me, and here I am sharing with you, Sexy Mom at 51!

Happy Birthday, Sexy Mom. Seems like it was only a few months ago that you celebrated your birthday. Yeah, I remember that one. So now, it’s another year, another birthday. How time flies. You look very sexy still at 51.
Have a great birthday bash!

Happy Birthday! I think the Good Lord will lead you to something most close to your heart and purpose.
In the meantime, be excited as He unravels His plans. In His time.
God bless and enjoy His blessings.

Happy Birthday, Dine! or is it belated. You don’t look 51 at all.

I should have realized it earlier. Did you know that it’s through the interview of Jessica Soho to your son J. Angelo that gave me the first idea about blogging, way back 2006?
I should say that you truly must be proud of him. And I am sure he will not be successful without you, as his mom.
Happy Birthday! You don’t look 51 though…lol!
Thanks!

Belated Happy Birthday again, Tita Dine!
It’s a joy to have them around, especially family and friends, di ba? By the way, you said “soon 14!”, which means another child will be joining the family soon?
(:
