Interested applicants may send their resume at hr@staffalot.com. Please mention the CODE in the Subject Line, and include your mobile phone numbers in your resume as interview invitations will primarily be sent via SMS. – - – - – - – - – - – Six months after the initial posting in October 2007, we have come a long way. We are in for an expansion. We need fresh applicants. To those who have sent their expressions of interest and their CVs in the email, and to those who called up on phone, thank you very much. Your CVs have been reviewed and some of you have been called for interviews. Some have been contracted already, either as full time or part time employees or for special projects. Our intention is to employ as many Filipinas and Filipinos as possible, either full time or part time, working in the comforts of home, being with family, and in control of one’s time, without having to leave the country. We have already started contracting some of you for special projects. HERE IS THE ORIGINAL POST (22 October 2008) How about working from home, in your pajamas, in your jogging pants, or even your favorite tattered shirt and shorts? No need for the ritual of putting on make-up, wearing high heeled shoes, and dressing up to the max for the ladies, and for the men, you do not need to worry about leaving your beloved in the house, and worrying about what to wear. Plus grappling with traffic day in and day out, or squeezing your way through the MRT and LRT during rush hours. Or as opposed to the traditional call center jobs, not anymore taking the risk of being exposed to pollution, hold-uppers, snatchers and abusive taxi drivers. For those who are employed, self-employed, or semi employed, how about earning extra for shopping money, or for paying utilities bills—earning something extra to enjoy the comforts of life? Plus the bonus of being able to watch your favorite TV program during your free time, being able to take care of the kids at home, fetch them from school, even taking your own sweet time while strolling in the mall, munching on your pizzas, burgers, fries, and nachos. Work from home—Yes, it is possible. Remember, son J Angelo’s interview which was shown at Mel and Joey’s program on Channel 7? Even if he was taken out of context, part of it was correct—Filipinos and Filipinas can earn money even without having to go abroad. Somehow, the TV program “inspired people by showing them that there are many ways to make a living aside from working the regular white- or blue-collar grind. However, what I’m trying to point out is that it’s not child’s play. It’s also like any job or any business—you need good foundations and the right attitude in order to meet your expected returns and rewards.” (quoted from J Angelo’s blogpost) Interested? All you need are: your own computer, DSL connection, a telephone line, conducive environment to work in (as much as possible minimum noise—no dogs barking in the background, no cars or trikes racing, etc), the right attitude, determination, the talent for writing, and the related eduation and expertise in the field/s applied for. Remember, working home based does not mean that the qualifications are less than those of the traditional office work. They are basically the same, except of course the environment—your home is your office. Hi Dine,

I am an outsourcing consultant and yes, we do various jobs for people abroad. Some of the things that can be done from the comforts of one’s home include: Transcription, call center, book keeping, article writing, drafting (CAD), home (virtual) office services, animation, etc..

I, myself, writes press releases and articles for some companies abroad. I created a blog that lists down opportunities for everyone. Please feel free to browse through it.

The internet has opened a lot of possibilities for people far from the US and Western Europe. Let’s help the Pinoys maximize their benefits from it.

    Regards,

PPP already denied my application because I am using Filipino as a medium in my blog and it was very disappointing on my part.

  83. Scott on February 21st, 2008 10:22 pm

I do agree with this concept. Been working for a call center for 2 years now and I think its getting to be a hassle. Recent research shows that this line of work has some really neat health hazards, some of which i’m beginning to feel the effects. I am considering applying for a home based job now.

Hi Dine! This sounds great. Large part of my employment background is on editing. But I can also write. I plan to go to graduate school so I would also need a job so I can support the incidental expenses of my studies and also to pay for my bills.
