I hope to catch today’s deadline. Here are my picks for Janette Toral’s project called Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007, in alphabetical order.
Aileen Apolo of An Apple A Day: for making one appreciate the simple joys of life, at work and at leisure, one can’t help but catch her merry laughter.
Annamanila’s An Ode to Old: for romancing the keyboard, churning one magical post after another, turning her readers in awe, wanting for more.
Bo Sanchez: no write up is necessary, he wrote his first blog after 28 years in the ministry–in October 2006.
Gibbs Cadiz: for stimulating the minds of his Filipino readers in appreciation of film and theater, taking this art as an extension of his journalistic work, by heart.
Jane of Here’s to Life: for tirelessly showing us the wonders of a healthy life, what’s fit, healthy or not, explaining, giving details, inviting, and motivating.
Jayvee’s The Blog and Soul Movement, for spreading the Blog’s advocacy with an aim to establish blogging as a relevant part of Philippine media.
Maia Jose of Manila Mom: for showing that meaningful work time at home and spending unfettered quality time with the family, is possible, while trying to replace freelancing work with blogging as an income generating activity.
Pinoy Moms Network: for touching the hearts of many Pinoy Moms, local and global, giving them a space in the network to share their pieces for the world to read, building a community of loving camaraderie and sharing.
Sexy Mom’s The D Spot: for believing that she indeed has touched the lives of so many–the young ones, young adults, adults, regardless of creed, sex, and race (I actually deliberated on this, but in the end, I felt, how can my readers believe in me if I do not believe in myself? LOL)
Study Driving: for driving tips and techniques ranging from the simplest lessons for beginners, to defensive driving techniques, to advanced maneuvers.
So there, Janette, you explicitly said that a nominee has to send his/her entry to be able to get an invite for the 1 August awarding (omg–what made me think that I would maintain my slot in the Top 10? As you tweeted, anything can happen in the final count). I look forward to seeing you again, and the rest of our blogging friends, on 1 August.

Thank you so much for including me in your list, Dine! Recognition from someone I admire means so much to me.
Oh, you’ll stay in the top 10, I’m sure of that. You should! I attest to how much good influence your blog exerts on readers. I’m among those you have influenced to commit to blogging, especially blogging as a Filipina mom. Oh, a Sexy Filipina Mom!
