Calling on MTRCB and ABS-CBN to rectify their gross negligence on the Cristy Fermin-Nadia Montenegro episode in The Buzz

It took me a few days to write down my reaction, as a responsible citizen, in the hope that somehow, I may be able to touch even one heart, even if the effect is not felt or does not cause a single ripple.
Does ABS-CBN, in the name of the ratings game, condone Cristy Fermin’s behavior when she exposed Nadia Montenegro’s alleged pregnancy “…outside of her “marriage” and hiding the baby from her husband and children…”—in front of national television? I mean world-wide television? And prime time at that! I don’t want to think that this is the kind of entertainment today’s generation of Filipinos thrive on.
The segment of last Sunday’s The Buzz was even reported in ABS-CBN’s website, www.abs-cbn.com. Are they proud about it?
Even if the incident were true, and Fermin were taken in Nadia’s confidence, I do not think she still had the right to expose this incident, as it would forever affect the life of the child in question, Nadia’s other children, and Nadia herself.
I am not to judge and I do not take sides. In fact, I did not see the last episode of The Buzz that triggered this episode. I just happened to watch last Sunday’s episode—it was so sickening and so out of taste, I have not in the past seen one person weaving one destructive statement after another, until last Sunday. Gosh, I could still remember Fermin’s eyes contracting, and pupils seething in anger and revenge. Yes, she has the power of the microphone and the pen, but these should be used in a responsible manner, and not used the way it was, even if her purpose were to defend herself.
If I were the management of ABS-CBN, Boy Abunda (the co-host) for that matter, or even MTRCB who I am of the impression has its agents monitoring these talk shows that could anytime get hot or out of bounds, I would have ordered that Fermin episode terminated right there and then, when she was spewing one malicious expose after another.
The damage has been done, but in the name of responsible programming, I call on MTRCB and the management of ABS-CBN to rectify their gross negligence.

oh, my thoughts exactly! the argument, if i’m not mistaken, revolves around gabby, so cristy’s expose was uncalled for, mean and malicious.
talaga ka??? don’t watch TV kasi palagi. Cristy F. should really censor herself sometimes. Feeling untouchable siya minsan.
saka naman for some reason parang di naman totoo yung mga pinagsasabi nya. giving birth via CS tapos umuwi daw the next day acting as if wala lang. I was CS with my eldest and mahirap yun ha. It took me 2 days para makatayo at makalakad.
I was shocked when Cristy said that. Kahit pa totoo man yun, she should’ve considered Nadia’s husband’s feelings. Hay showbiz!
Kaya ayaw ko na bumalik sa showbiz eh! LOL!
Musta na po Mommy Dine? :p
Hi kumusta na ulit Ms. D, i agree with you, the revelations are sensitive issues that will ruin the family as a whole, is Ms. Fermin not tired of court cases? this is really libelous in nature, pls send me email how i can reach you, i will be in manila soon, best regards. cool mom of germany
So sad that this rubbish is a core part of Philippine TV’s regular programming. No wonder we’re still a third-world country, we spend so much time and money in making and digesting hearsay rubbish (aka tsismis) about people who just looks good on camera but has done little to nothing about the progress of the nation instead of focusing on things that will improve our lives.
Anyways, this reminds me of the attacks on Sarah Palin’s character regarding the pre-marital pregnancy of her daughter.
I was channel surfing and accidentally heard what she was saying. I don’t know what made me sit there and continue to watch here spew her venom, but indeed, it was a very sad day for Phil TV. I was so proud to be a Kapuso!
buti na lang hindi ako pumasok sa showbiz na yan, hehe
sad but this CF looks like bombarding anything and anyone she feels to, blatantly and maliciously.
