Somehow, this is a delayed reaction on my part, but when best friend Bing sent me the You Tube segment showing Charice Pempengco singing in The Oprah Winfrey’s Show, I was just so amazed and touched, tears were profusely falling down my pretty face. I can’t help but share with all other Filipinos the pride of having a Filipina in Oprah’s show.

Why so? Let me tell you the reasons:
- At that shining moment, I was so proud to be a Filipina. She’s got talent, she has become an inspiration to many.
- I was touched with the way she sang, carried herself, and yes, cry.
- Whitney Houston’s songs are my favorites, in particular I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You. Remember the movie, The Bodyguard?
- One of her dreams was to be in Oprah’s show–and she was able to achieve her dream, and her other dreams. One of these days, all my dreams will come true, I know.
Thank you Charice for making us proud! Thank you for giving us hope!
