I am drinking green tea as I am reading this.
But hey, you forgot cake, ice cream, pizza, potato chips, french fries… ay mali! Weight loss ba ang pinopromote?
Interesting list. Thanks for sharing.
mas effective pa daw na pampagising ang apple kesa kape.tapos if u want to suppress your appetite just eat an apple.
ung pomegranate din,it has antioxidants saka parang anti-cancer din.
but this is really interesting.thanks for sharing!
Hello Dine,
What an interesting blog you have. Nakakatakot, actually. Panay health issues kasi. =)
Great list! My breakfast everyday consists of oatmeal. I also try to have fruits as my snack instead of chips or a sandwich.
More power, Dine

I can really use shedding off 30 lbs. I don’t know but I find it virtually impossible to lose weight here in Manila
But green tea I’ve gone back to drinking regularly once again.
Great list to remind us of what should we include in our daily diet. Today, I have 4 in your list in my lunch bag. Not bad huh.
Nasan yung chocolates?
thanks for a visit and comments on the Janice Del Rosario case. She will be soon the legal problem of the Philippines, since her deportation is going on, lest she files another of her delay dally tactics, using the kids as a “humanitarian” case.
Anyways, I think Garlic in any form is one good food for LDL control too. It may be offensive to some.
haha. Maybe that’s why I don’t gain over 120lbs… I ate lots of fruits, esp. apples and pineapples…
hi ate D..
maybe I should start eating fruits again.. I dont know why I suddenly stopped eating apples and bananas… Maybe that’s why I started gaining weight.. I thought that you can substitute chips for apples.. hehehe..
Thanks for the list mommy D..

Hmm.. magkakasundo tayo. I’m a vegetarian kasi eh.
How about ginger? I dont know the medical benefits of it but I use it as anti-bacterial.. mixed with hot or cold water.
nice post, dine! i used to drink beet-carrot-apple juice everyday but now I switch to odwalla juice (super food). it has wheat grass, fruits, spirulina, algae, green tea, broccoli spinach, odorless garlic…and more.
I eat everything on the list except Flax. What is that? hehehe
This post gave me a yearning for peaches
Hi. Very useful info .. thanks. And hey, you scooped the Inquirer Magazine. Today’s issue is all about food, the losing weight bandwagon, diets, champion meals, etc. I mean, your blog came out earlier than the mag.
Hey, I tagged you again. I hope you don’t mind writing about five things that happened to you because of blogging. All best!
I am an apple and banana a day guy M to F so I guess I’m not doing too bad. Definitely a list worth keeping
thanks, ALL! for the informative, to the entertaining to the funny comments!

I lost 30 lbs by drinking green tea, cutting out ice cream and all sweets, eating more fruit and a salad for lunch every day, yoga, walking at least 1/2 mile every day. The pounds shed off quickly. It works. I went from a tight 12 to a loose 10.
We are what we eat.
What is the source for the food benefits chart? I need to know to pass on to my friends.
I agree with oranges that promotes our immune system, i am drinking it at the moment due to severe cold.
But. (hehe)may But ako.
Yung peanuts, does not lower cholesterol, daw?
Kasi here in France, they do not use that much because of high cholesterol content. I once bought a bottle as bread spread, ang sigaw ni Frenchman, kala mo nakakita ng multo! even sa kare kare ko, ayaw niya gamit ko, kasi daw kataas ng cholesterol non!
dont know, so far di ko na lang touch yung peanut butter…
thanks, katiann – that’s a feat! as to the source of the chart, i asked and asked, but could not really find the source. it was passed on by a friend, who passed on…
francesca – i hope you are well now. as to peanuts and other nuts, i take them in moderation.
what a list! ...very informative talaga! Kaso I have a comment, kasi sabi d2 sa lugar namin, avocados can raise cholesterol levels and may even cause toxemia or preeclampsia to moms-to-be like me… Me and my husband really love eating avocados pa naman (frozen with milk)...
I am glad that you came up with this list…now I have something to prove our “critics” wrong… Hehehehehhe
