I used to think that the best flowers and trees that I have seen so far in Asia were those found in Bhutan (see below) in summer and Lahore, Pakistan in spring.

And those in Sri Lanka (below).

But now I realize that the best are those that are so close to home and those at home. One is this tree that is a few blocks away from my home.

Find this tree along Esteban Abada St. in Loyola Heights, QC.

You will also find some along UP Campus in Diliman.

And the others are the flowers in my own pocket garden.

The flowers and plants that I and Monica personally tend.

Reminiscent of perfect moments.

The flowers and plants that are a sight to behold.

Incomparable. They’re God’s small wonders–so much to thank for!

What beauty!

Simple, yet so lovely.

So close to the heart. So close to home.

These are the flowers of summer–the flowers of home, the Philippines. Am mighty proud of them!
They are the santans (ixora), sampaguitas, bougainvilleas, Vietnam rose (portulaca), impatiens, hydrangeas and (especially hard to grow in Manila).
