I am mighty proud of my writers–two of them recently passed the Bar Exams–congrats, Deb and GB!
And one of my former writers. Christine Weizel Gulfan, has made it to the finals of the Ms. Philippines Earth Contest (she represents Imus, Cavite).

Weizel is not just a pretty face. She is a Filipina, a graduate from DLSU-Dasmarinas last year with a quadruple major in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising and Media Productions. As a student she has always expressed her passion in preserving the environment. Her thesis involved the use of reusable bags as a solution to the current crisis in waste management.
She also served as the Features Editor for Heraldo Filipino, DLSU-Dasmarinas’ official student publication. Here she had the chance to campaign for her cause. She was able to produce two environmentally themed campus magazines.
Weizel immerses herself in conservation works campaigning for Greenpeace Philippines. She works for an organic company and looks forward to pursue her advocacy for the environment in the corporate world.

Congratulations to Weizel! I’ve worked with her in DLSU-D on various students’ rights issues a few years ago.
She’s not just a beautiful face, she’s smart, brave and wouldn’t back down on challenges.

I joined MPE coz I wanted to be an effective environmental amabassadress, lets hope that this path is indeed one that is meant for me coz i know Ill do my best to be worthy of the challenges. Thanks Ms Dine for this, Ms Racoma was once my editor and Im just touched she remembered me among her many writers
