A Manager and a Bullying Manager–see the difference!

“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.”
–Martin Luther King

Come to think of it, different types of people do exist in an organization, in any organization–it is a given. Can you recognize a bully in the ranks? How much damage is this employee doing to your business, your productivity, your profitability?

I found this interesting piece of study in the Internet. Some people may not know it, but they might have already been showing signs of being bullies in the workplace, and to think that sometimes they hold high positions in the organization. If they do, who should call their attention? Is it already a hopeless case?

Would you rather be a Manager in its true sense? or a Bullying Manager, power tripper perhaps? See the difference between a Manager and a Bullying Manager.

Hi Sexy Mom! I had my share of a bully boss/department heads before. There are many like them even in the academe. They can really spread toxins in an otherwise healthy learning environment. One of my reasons of changing schools also.

i’ve been under a lot of bosses. different personalities, different habits. they have their strengths and weaknesses. sometimes, i’d even ask how come some of them attain their current positions. lucky, perhaps?

Me, I’ve always believed that there are only 2 kinds of a leader– one followed by heart and the other one followed by fear!

For me a good manager is one who inspires his employees, bring out the best in people. He doesn’t have to be nice all the time, but a good balance of an iron fist and a gentle hand. :)

    Good post, an eyeopener, Dine!
