We Changed Servers

Due to my insistence, my son J Angelo finally requested his host to transfer our sites to another server or box, whatever it is for that matter. We have been very frustrated the past few weeks because the server was either down, or was not responding. I hope that now it will be smooth sailing from now on for the family, for at least The D Spot, J Angelos’s The J Spot, Alan Jr’s My First Blog, Vince’s Oneironaut and BA’s Bababa ba? Only Pau’s site is down, though these days she blogs on her Multiply site. I had to re-post my last article, “It Must Have Been Hard for Michelle” (and this one) twice, as they were lost along the process (change of servers had to be reset twice). There must be an invention submission somewhere for to keep servers from bogging down.
To those who sent comments in between change of servers, I am sorry if the comments were lost. You might want to send them again, I would appreciate. Am keeping my fingers crossed that server will nw be working 24/7.

servers like computers is impossible to have 24/7. There are times sites can become too active and required RAM processes or bandwidth. There are times your host will need to upgrade the apache, security ,php , mysql versions.
Just see if there are webhosts that give 24/7. But uptime should never fall below 99%. How often was your old server down? Maximum uptime expectations of servers should be at least 99.9%
I can relate because few years ago, my former webhost’s server was often down. It was indeed very annoying.
Musta na SexyMommy? No school today kaya may time akong maghop :).
Warm greetings and xoxoxo
thanks, noemi and beng, it was really exasperating. it was like 1/3 of the time! host just decided to transfer it to another server (it was the same problem with the other sites hosted).
beng – i missed you! i would have liked to take the same classes – web design (in germany! you’re lucky)
Everyone in the family has blogs? Wow, amazing!
yes, Toe, everyone, except my husband. i have not included the Multiply blog site of 15 yo Angela, it’s about them teens, friends, theater, sometimes boys… their blogs give me an idea of who their friends are, their activities, yes, their feelings.
I didn’t know that you are a family of bloggers, you must have at least 5-6 computers at home…hahaha!.
Si Mox kaya walang blog. Wahahaha.
Ann, I believe they do have four computers at their place. I have three at mine.

you’re right, BA, Mox does not have a blog, but she is on friendster
and she reads your blogs Bwahahaha!
Ann, jangelo has 3 in his place and he is the only who uses them (simultaneously)
How nice that your whole family loves blogging. An online journal is a great way to harness writing skills. Hope everything goes well with your new server.
Bilhan mo ko ng bagong laptop.
thanks, Rach – server is a-ok now, every time i visit the site, it’s up, though some i have lost some pictures, and some of the kids are still experiencing some minor hitches.
well, BA, you can sell your laptop (ask J Angelo), then we can talk business…
Akala ko dati, asawa mo si jangelo… haha.
now, Toe, you are funny…ha ha ha… (he’s only 26, maybe near your age).
JAngelo is son no. 1 (S1), BA (S2), Vince (S3), and Alan Jr (S4). Monica is daughter no. 1 (D1), Angela (D2) and Pauline (D3). There was a time I was so confused with names and birthdays that i would call them S1 or S2…:)
oh so thats why i couldnt access your site a while ago.. great its back to normal now.
yes, dimaks – the problem started about 3 weeks ago. now, it’s ok.
Wag na lang pala laptop. May pramis ka sa akin na kotse dahil nagUP ako.
I wish my mom blogs too hehehe.
I noticed that your site is down alot in the past weeks. I just thought you were tinkering so much with it.
KD, who knows? someday soon…
KK - i don’t know how to tinker, i can only write. Jangelo tinkers for me.
BA - i thought, we were talking about servers and laptops…now about that car…isn’t patience a virtue? lvy BA!
I will make KD’s wish come true…hahaha. His mom is coming here by April and I will teach her how to chat and how to blog…hehehe.
