Cristy Fermin’s Contract with ABS-CBN Suspended

This is related to my earlier post of 9 October 2008, Calling on MTRCB and ABS-CBN to rectify their gross negligence on the Cristy Fermin-Nadia Montenegro episode in The Buzz

ABS-CBN announced last Thursday that Cristy Fermin’s contracts as host of The Buzz (ABS-CBN Channel 2) and as anchorperson of Showbiz Mismo (DZMM) have been suspended until 31 December 2008, which happens also to be the last day of her contract with ABS-CBN.

The suspension of Fermin’s talent contracts is related to her exposes in The Buzz’ episode of 5 October 2008, which violated some provisions of her contract. She exposed Nadia Montenegro’s alleged pregnancy “…outside of her “marriage” and hiding the baby from her husband and children…”—in front of national and global television. ABS-CBN feels that this time, a child who has nothing to do with the controversy has been affected.

Fermin has also violated ABS-CBN’s standard for highest professionalism and integrity in broadcasting, which brought damages not only to her name and credibility, but also for the programming of The Buzz.

On the other hand, officials of MTCRB have also acknowledged during interviews that they were set to investigate the case.

It took two weeks for ABS-CBN and MTRCB to decide on Fermin’s suspension, which should have been given immediately–as the violation was very obvious, but I would say, “better late than never”.

And now, owing from these developments, fans of Kris Aquino are hoping for her come back in The Buzz.

By the way, there has been so far no official word from Fermin about her suspension, not that I care.

I watched that episode where in Cristy Fermin made that shocking revelation. I agree with you that she should have been suspended immediately. She clearly abused her “power” as a media personality.

As for Kris Aquino returning to the show, where would that put Ruffa G? It would be disastrous to have two queens in there.

Cristy Permin is a really bad person. I see her ugly face on television and I want to puke. Those are the kind of peoples whom you would think really want to malign others just so they will have money. Philipine show biz is really stupid if all they talk about is this.

believe it or not, i saw that brief episode where cristy fermin blurted things out. i don’t watch the show – the buzz – but i caught a glimpse of it at that particular time because i was using the remote control to ‘browse’ through some news channels. to say the least it was shocking! how very sad it is that talk shows are being used to speak/judge about things that must remain private. sorry if i may seem pontificating. i am just expressing my thoughts about this particular tv show. earlier on, we, in the groupsite, touched on issues like death and how we must prepare for eternity. can’t help, at this point, but think about how we will all answer to our Creator one day.

Finally,makes me happy that Cristy Fermin was
kick out. Hope that ABS CBN will not re-=negotiate
her contract. she is a very bad person. no heart,
no feelings and just think how could she ruin
people that she don’t like. It show everything
on her. very ugly. Shrek & the Beast looks better
than her.

ano kayo ngayon? sino ang may credibilidad sa pag amin ng anak ni aubrey e di si….CRISTY FERMIN .. mabuhay ka cristy fermin ,,,sige bistuhin mo pa sila.. nagpapayaman lang naman ang mga yan e niloloko ang publiko!!!!!!!!!
