Note: This is BB Gandanghari’s first interview outside traditional or mainstream media…Thanks BB!
BB Gandanghari’s day with the bloggers: 14 March, 3-5 pm at Mag.Net. REGISTER NOW!
Be all that you can be…

Stretching and Pilates made BB taller by 2 inches and lose a lot of weight, clothes now at size 2, waistline down from 32 to 24—all in 3 months! Audrey Hepburn is BB Gandanghari’s role model for fashion, and she likes Meryl Streep a lot. In Philippine showbiz, she likes Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor, Sharon Cuneta and a couple of others. See a synopsis of BB Gandanghari’s profile including her coming out in WikiPilipinas.

Walking in the streets of New York…running…BB Gandanghari suddenly realized that she was a female in totality and that was it! A friend had to call building administration to inform them of BB Gandanghari’s transformation otherwise she won’t be allowed entry to her own flat. And that marked the “death of Rustom Padilla” which his family has to slowly accept, for which the Philippine society was shocked to hear about. Hopefully, albeit slowly, her family and the society would accept in due time. BB Gandanghari says that if it is difficult for parents to learn that their son is gay, it is doubly difficult for the son to be in such a situation with her struggle and all.

A spiritual awakening—BB Gandanghari learned to accept herself. BB Gandanghari’s God, she knows, is a loving, understanding and forgiving God. BB may not have seen any of her family members yet since her coming out, not even her mother with whom she has been communicating by phone only, not even Robin Padilla and her 6 other siblings. It may take some time, she knows, for them to truly reconcile the fact that she is BB. She has been invited to some family affairs, but as Rustom. But she looks forward to that day when they take her in as she is—as BB Gandanghari.

Mind over matter—pamper your body, massage your face, tell your adam’s apple to disappear. Exercise. Eat healthy, eat in moderation, live a clean life. BB Gandanghari lives not by the day, but by the moment. She does not even have an agenda 5 years from now.

she looks beautiful, happy and at peace with herself. Been a while since i’ve seen her on tv. The last time was when he courageously faced the nation at told everybody how he really feels about himself. I am glad she did! Truly amazing person.

Hi Mommy! Power mo talaga you have that chance having an up close personal chikahan with the new face in town. In fairness ha, maganda sya. And with your photos showed here, i like the 3rd one best. She is so cool.
I can say that what matters most in life is that—you are at peace with yourself. No matter what you do, when you are at peace with your God and yourself. I hope and pray that one day soon her family can accept of who and what she really is now.
Nice post, Sexy Mom and thank you for sharing.

I love the interview. I have an aunt who is in the very same situation (mtf) and who has been out her whole life (maagang lumandi-her own words. lol).
I only hope that Ms.BB finds the same acceptance that my aunt has enjoyed from our family. Kudos to her for having the courage to be herself. It is always inspiring to see such strong, happy members of the rainbow community.
