Years ago, I had this very expensive sun glasses. Since I am not much of a sun glass person, I just let it lying around the house. There were times that I was already outside and it was so hot, that I would remember that I had this sun glasses, which I should have brought with me.
I would even go traveling around the globe without bringing it—what a waste of money! I am more of a rain person than a hot summer one.
Until a few weeks ago, I promised myself that I would wear those sun glasses, by hook or by crook. and I wished for the first opportunity to come. And since I have become very busy working at home (I have become a SAHM since after early retirement 2-1/2 yeas ago), I did not get the chance to do so.

Until that fateful day three weeks ago—I felt a discomfort in my right eye, which to my aghast developed into something like a boil (pigsa) inside the eyelid. I called up an ophthalmologist who advised an eye drop, no time to see him in person, again, because I was too busy. The picture shows the early onset—the swelling was worse than that.
Two days after the onset of the eye infection, it has spread below the right eye, down to my face. It was very very painful, Finally—my wish was granted! The genie must have been laughing out loud, rofl/lmao! I have wished for an opportunity to wear my sun glasses—WISH GRANTED! delivered to me in a silver platter. I had to rush at St. Luke’s Medical Center, to the best ophthalmologist/eye surgeon, with sun glasses so that people won’t stare at me and not to treat me like I were a plague.
I was prescribed with a strong does of antibiotics and advised to come two days later for a minor surgery to drain the abscess, not until I had to bear the long hours of hot compress over my eye. Back after two days, still with my sun glasses on, I had to bear the pain of that minor surgery. BA and Alan Jr. came with me, but I asked them to stay in a cafe in the hospital, so that they won’t get bored. While on the operating table, I had wished they had stayed. I had wished for somebody to hold my hand to soothe me, while I was wincing in pain, bearing the pain. The anaesthesia didn’t work fully, because of the abscess still present. It was very painful, yes, but Dr. Noel G Chua was such a great doctor, that he didn’t mind my obvious discomfort so that he could finish the procedure in the least time possible.

I had an eye patch (not an iPod), when I left the doctor’s office, and yes, it was already evening, but I had to wear my sun glasses on the way home! It was more than what I wished for!
So, my advice? Be careful with what you wish for—you might get more than what you wanted!

Thanks, Dr Porciuncula for referring Dr Chua—you’re both great doctors! Now, I’ve got my good eye back, no need for the sun glasses!

I’m glad the procedure went very well and that you are A-okay now. The last time I saw you, it was as if you did not go under the knife. Great doctors indeed. Take care of your eyes. They’re precious!

now it is time for you to wish for a healthy and beautiful eyes. what ya think?
my son told me that (in metaphysics) the universe listens and responds to whatever your thoughts are and just like a genie who says, “your wish is my command.”
Sometimes the response is fast “kaboom” sometimes it takes time kasi ina-arrange pa ang mga circumstances at whatever para makarating sa yo. LOL

Err…I think, you should wear your sunglasses when outdoors to protect your eyes from ultra-violet rays.
Good to hear, though, that your surgery was successful.

Thanks God you’re now fine! It’s truly scary when unexpected things happen to our health especially to our eye sight. Plus, it’s true still that prevention is better than cure. I hope you would also find time to look at the site about eye care. Thanks for sharing this.
