Vince, who has been my companion in watching 6 Degrees to Change the Earth on the National Geographic Channel has asked me to plug the premiere of “An Inconvenient Truth” on HBO.

“An Inconvenient Truth” is an Academy Award-winning documentary which showcases Al Gore’s persuasive argument that global warming is a big moral challenge rather than a political issue. It will premier on HBO Asia today, 22 April at 9 pm, in celebration of Earth Day.

Repeats are scheduled on 23 April at 1 pm.; on 25 April at 11 pm; 26 April at 7 pm; and 27 April at 5 pm.

I do agree w/what Al Gore said; it’s definitely more than being a political issue b/c the tragedies that may happen due to global warming. Come to think of it, all of us should be aware of the environmental issues rather than categorizing them as a bother.

It’s great that Mr. Henry Sy is making the free screenings some sort of a regular Earth Day activity. Hopefully he continues this every year probably with other environmental awareness films.

By the way, Leonardo DiCaprio does an Al Gore with his own “The 11th Hour”. The DVD is already available out there… you know, even in Quiapo… ;)

I heard that this is one eye-opening documentary, enough to win Al Gore a Nobel Prize last year. This was also one of the inspirations for a full length documentary GMA recently produced, Signos which is about climate change and it’s manifestations in the Philippines. Makes you want to take better care of the only home we’ve got.

I knew about this documentary for quite a while already I only bothered to watch it the other night. It’s pretty amazing really how much work needs to be done to undo the carelessness of a few years.

Oh I enjoyed this film so much that I even exhibited it to my Asian Studies students, as part of their “International Relations” subject. I reckon that it is now a new form of international issue, the concerns on environmental degradation, particularly the global warming spectre.

I am sure the viewers and patrons would learn greatly from watching thios classic documentary.

I have watched this documentary one too many times. And I believe we should all watch this, it’s an eye-opening film. We should all be aware and involved since it is a global issue.

I have watched this film with my eldest son and it scared me. Not for myself but for what world will be left to my (our) children if we do not act now.

    yeah, it’s a real eye-opener!

by the way, i will link your site up :)

Hi Dine. I watched a part of this documentary and I was alarmed by the extent and depth of global warming.
