Professional Make Over for My Cyber Home

A lot of you have immediately noticed—The D Spot just had a professional make over. See the sleek, classy, suave layout? See the enchanting, captivating header? The moment I saw it when I woke up Wednesday morning, I was speechless! I wanted to savor the moments—seeing my cyber home totally made over.
And dear Readers. This make over is not DIY (do it yourself)! It is a creation of the Professionals:
- the layout from Word Press, 3-column Moderpaper theme by Performancing, as arranged and rearranged (perfect to Mom’s specifications) by my very own son, J Angelo, the Blog Lord
- the header, by Sajid Kamid, better known in the blogosphere as Dimaks of alt+ctrl+del.
all for FREE, pro bono in legalese. Consider myself LUCKY! It’s like a fairy tale in cyber space. One fine day, Annamanila received “A Little Gift from Tsukuba” (find out more here), and how the ladies swooned, short of telling Dimaks “make me one, please”. To Annamanila’s new header, I commented, “Impressive! and if it is from “the Dimaks”, there’s no question about it. i remember one of his sunset photos was used as header of the month in TsukuBlog (daily blog for Tsukuba). You must have charmed him, dear Annamanila—now his sunset matches word for word your witty posts. While Annamanila is romancing the keyboard weaving post after post, Dimaks is romancing his camera creating awesome sunsets and wonderful photographs.”
I was too shy to ask Dimaks, the busy person that he is with his graduate program on Social Systems and Information Engineering, Department of Policy and Planning Sciences at in the University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki Japan.
Another fine day, I received an email from Dimaks, asking me to give the following details with regard to blog renovation: concept or theme, color preference, graphics to be included in the image, other related info or preference on the header, like exact dimension of the graphics (header image). My heart skipped a beat (wow! he’s gonna make me one), but then, I really could not put into words what I wanted. At that moment, I had a writer’s block, my imagination gone awry. Gently, I told him: “you know, tita sexy mom can only write, but cannot conceptualize, even a header. I have bared most in my posts, and i am kinda transparent. Will it be too much of a hassle, if you did the header for me, based on what your impression of me is? sorry sorry sorry. color: my favorites are lavender and apple green; concept: I am positive, happy, and i am sexy, almost fifty (it even rhymes), and I would like to keep The D Spot (by Dine Racoma); graphics: something for a cool sexy mom, with flowers, perhaps?”
Another fine day, while I was catching up with a writing deadline, the header came. I almost forgot about the deadline, I was in awe. The header was exactly how I wanted it to be—enchanting! captivating! in lavender and green. Dimaks, Arigatoo Gozaimashita!!
The non techno savvy that I am, I sent the header to son J Angelo. He is my savior, my hero when it comes to blog technical support, and my idol in problogging. And how he spoils me in this regard, giving in to my whims and caprices, pronto.
The rest is history—the moment I woke up, I got raves from you dear Readers, Rhodora (And oh, i noticed too – you have new look in your blog! I love it! It looks like a woman who arranged, rearranged and mix matched her accessories to look even), Gina (I Like the New streamlined look of your blog! Wow, wow, at wow pa!), Annamanila (Oh my! Is that new header from where I think it comes from? Ang galing—bagay na bagay sa feminine and dainty and sexy Dine. I love it. Congrats to D and D! haha), Diogenes (This new look is so neat; pure professional), Chase (I love the new look of this blog btw. Hot!), Toni (I like your new lay out by the way), Salen (I like the new look of your blog!), Daphne (Nice clean new layout), Rach (BTW, love the new template), Tiffany (You changed your layout! Wahhh Cute), and Carey ( btw, your new layout looks so professional. naks!). Dimaks and J Angelo, these raves are for you!
I am yet to write my byline (to come under the header), inspiration has not yet gotten over me. I am giving myself some time.
And The D Spot is somehow monetizing now. See the icon of St. Therese of the Child Jesus at the right side? That is an advertisement—anyone interested to buy some columbarium units? And by the way, a check from Adsense has come, I got $40 for my first two months of blogging. Son J Angelo said it is quite substantial for a newbie, considering that he started off with only a few dollars during his first two months. Oh, well, $40 could pay for domain and hosting charges, am I right Noemi?

I gasped when your blog opened. I love shades of lavender, lilac and violet, too. And the touch of apple green is just right. Most of all, the lighting on the blossom and the texture of the petals is gorgeous. The timing is just right, too, after your pink badge. Very, very nice
