Mucci has been with us since February—she is 1 year old now. She has been a source of joy, but with joy comes a big responsibility of keeping her fresh, clean, comfortable and trained.
Since then she has always been my constant companion, with the kids all gone to school, and I am left HOME ALONE. We stay comfy and cozy at home, I give her baths, we walk in the park, walk in the rain, walk down the ATM booth, play fetch, play frisbee, tricks: play dead, catch, rollover, shake hands, high 5, stay and eat! Most often she follows me wherever I go around the house, and bids me goodbye when I need to go out of the house without her. Sometimes Mucci can be hyperactive, sometimes lethargic.
With no more kid in the household—Mucci has been the baby of the family. In fact, some of the kids call her “baby” and spoil and pamper her and take her photos and videos. Monica shows Mucci how to do tricks. Most times she takes comfort in Mucci when she feels tired, stressed out or sad.

Typical of a golden retriever, Mucci picks up any stuff to bring to anyone who comes home as her “pasalubong”—most times Angela’s Pikachu or Care Bear stuffed toys or anyone’s Havaiianas. She does not mess up with the statue of Baby Jesus underneath the Christmas tree (one of the kids says it’s because she’s a Christian, lol).
But it’s obvious, I am her favorite. If Mucci can talk, she will say “I am your Dog, You are my Person.”
Yes, Mucci, I am your Person, and You are my Dog! I can see Mucci smiling now.
Happy Birthday, Mucci! Vince and BA will buy you a cake later, that’s their promise.

I have a 12-year-old spitz who is just as sweet. Your pictures of Mucci reminds me of how adoring my old Puppy-O still looks at me, eventhough I’ve left her with my parents for long periods of time. Belated congratulations for winning the Philippine Blog Awards 2.
