UAAP: An all out WAR between ADMU and DLSU on 27 September 2007

24 hours before the toss, I extend my hand in friendship to you all, DLSU fans. Because tomorrow, it will be WAR! An all out WAR! While ADMU wants to live another game, DLSU, who has the twice to beat advantage, just wants to finish it in one game and avoid meeting ADMU one more time.
Intrigued by Feng’s comment in one of my posts, I dropped by the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store at the Mega Mall to check on their FINAL FOUR donuts. Just to show how serious a large sector of the Philippine society has become—Krispy Kreme even thought about concocting up these seasonal donuts, the reds, yellows, greens and blues of the Final Four teams, UE, UST, DLSU and ADMU. I thought it would be fun, I bought Krispy Kreme’s blue and green donuts (no, I didn’t buy the yellow and red), to bring home to my kids.
Tomorrow, the 15,000-seat Araneta Coliseum will again be filled to its seams, the tickets have been sold out as early as Monday. The elite of Philippine society, a few senators and some of Forbes’ list of the richest Filipinos will be in their own sides of the green and blue—themselves in the front seats.
They are the alumni of the 2 schools, happily reminiscing their good old college days, fiercely cheering for their own teams.

It’s anybody’s game tomorrow. Both teams will fight fiercely, but for sure, by 5 pm, each player, each alumni, each student, will be raising his or her right hand, fist clenched, singing their Alma Mater Song. The question is, who will sing first? The winner of course. And in the spirit of sportsmanship, the BLUEs and GREENS will part each other’s ways—because LIFE GOES ON.
