Wellness, Healing and Romance at Nurture Spa

Several years ago, I had a German office mate who would always say on a Monday, “Thank God it’s Monday, 4 days to go and it will be Friday!”. What an optimist, I am more inclined to say “Thank God it’s Friday” on a Friday–more realistic. And that was exactly what last Friday was all about.

It was a day to unwind, to relax and to pamper oneself–but only after a long and interesting travel. With no one to drive me, and also thinking about how much I would be spending on gas, plus the travel time while being stuck in the traffic along EDSA, Arlene and I decided to take the taxi to MRT-Quezon Blvd (oh gosh! the station was full) up to Ayala, took a taxi to Magallanes, had breakfast at Starbucks, took a jeepney to Sucat (with no taxi in sight), another short jeepney ride, then off to a 1 hour leisurely drive with Cathy Brillantes-Turvill to Nurture Spa in Tagaytay, with Ivan and Bikoy, and Claire. It was an adventure I never had before.

Nurture Spa is an experience, pampering at its best, wellness for most, and for others, a healing haven. I heard that young couples love to go there–the staff can even arrange for a romantic setting where the guy asks the girl’s hand in marriage. It is also a perfect setting for garden weddings.

TIP: for a day trip, you must be ready to stay there at 4-5 hours to enjoy at least a massage, a facial, or their other treatments, and lunch.

Hey Dine, what a spectacular place. I wish I was able to go to spa while in San Francisco, but it wasn’t to be. I have my two year old with me and I’m just neurotic enough not the trust anybody with him.
