True Confessions: My Children Are Abnormal (Part 3) - - The Alien Tongues

As mentioned in an earlier post, family reads each other’s blogs, friendster, my multiply, or whatever social network one has. I was amazed to listen to the kids complain why it was only Monica whom I wrote about for the Alien Tongue. Three of them, 14-year old Pauline, 16 year-old Angela and 17-year old Vince gamely demonstrated to me how to fold their tongues. 10-year old Alan, Jr. could make little waves out of his tongue. That makes 4-1/2 Alien Tongues out of 7 kids in the family. This time I didn’t have to plead, coax, cajole, or even bribe. We had frolicking fun time taking pictures, laughing, sometimes faces contorted, noses flattened. They gamely agreed to post the pictures. Picture in the bottom: Pauline, Monica, Angela and Vince in their normal moments.

aliw naman, your kids are hilarious
it’s probably genetic the way your kids (4 out of 7) can roll or make waves out of their tongues. i learned before in biology about those genetic traits – you either have a flat tongue or you can roll it—hmmm making waves out of it wasn’t included though
so you are right – you have alien childen lol
SexyMom: yes, somebody commented in an earlier post that this is probably genetic (can’t even call it talent). i have to find out from hubby if he can do it.
That probably means they’ll be dynamite kissers when they come of age. Hala kayo, Tita Dine, hahahaha!
SexyMom: naughty Ganns, we have young readers here (LOL)
lols @ ganns.
SexyMom: You, too, Mr Nice Ash!
hala, amazing yan SexyMom!
SexyMom: true, Feng, very few people can do it.
Hahaha!! Galing!! Secret lang natin ha, I tried to do it. Di ko kaya!! I still can’t get over it, I’m actually laughing with tears in my eyes while writing this comment. Hay naku!! This is the best talaga
Is that Claret church?
SexyMom: you make me laugh, dear Kongkong. i didn’t even attempt to do it. Yes, that’s Claret Church, we live a few blocks away (Teachers’ Village). are we neighbors or what?
wow! kakaiba talaga! amazing!
Amazing
Ang galing
!!
haha i was trying to copy it while looking at their pix, gosh no luck!
Hindi lang ang simpleng ‘single roll’ ha! When you went to the Ontario Science place, merong section doon where there’s a mirror and there’s a poster na may info/fact. The ability raw to roll the tongue is determined by genes. So kahit daw anong try mo to do it, if you haven’t got the genetic code, you can’t. Interesting ano? I have to look it up online now to really understand it. So SexyMom, either you or hubby has the gene. Try ninyo kuno. Then let us know =))
YOu have good looking aliens there in your home!
LOL! I just read Toni’s comment! Pareho ang comment ko in a way.
Malamang pala yung parents ko di marunong nyan hehehe!
i can’t even imagine that is possible. and that’s just by the force of their own tongue?

Hi Sexymom,

Does the talent run in the family? Can you do it?
It looks gross, nung una akala ko candy hehe
Hi Dine! My gosh, my daughter finds those photos incredible haha. Although in a few years’ time we shall have our own little alien here at home – Nate! I sometimes catch glimpses of his curly tongue when he’s crying or babbling!
I’ve read long ago that this certain kind of talent is hereditary.
I’m tongue-tied! I can’t do it! I simply cannot! Bravo to your kids! Yeah, i’m in a rush – still trying the tongue thing and all…(ang hirap!)
