Starting to Live Life the Way It Should Be Lived

Today has been a highly productive day (and so was yesterday). After weeks of being very busy, I had my sleep, and I have started living life again, the way it should be lived. Yesterday, I went to Toys R Us at Trinoma Mall with my little one, Alan Jr. He bought a 5 x 5 Rubik’s Cube (he has not yet cracked the patterns and algorithms, but he will, I am sure). I had Razon’s halu halo, while he had Banoffee pie and iced tea at Starbucks, went home, slept, went to church, slept again and worked from 11 pm to 8 am.

And today, straight from work at 9 am, my 3 sons (BA, Vince and Alan Jr, plus BA’s special friend, Josephine) went to Ynzal Markering Corp.–we had to bring Sexy MacBook for warranty. Long overdue, since the battery gave up months ago. NO QUESTIONS ASKED by the customer friendly staff, I will be able to get replacement of my rechargeable battery and charger in a week’s time. Thanks, Jojo, Nomer and Olive. Ynzal has been our supplier of Mac goodies for a while now, from iPods to Macs to accessories. Jojo even cleaned my MacBook–a good find called SUPER ERASER. I used to clean my white MacBook with cloth and soap. Had I known that SUPER ERASER, a spongey thingey existed, MacBook must have been squeaky white all the time. Try it, it’s highly recommended.

Before we left, we bought a Mac Mini (pre-owned). The last 4 weeks have seen 2 desktops and 1 laptop giving up on us. And last night, a glass of orange juice spilt on BA’s Mac. He’s still waiting for the keyboard to dry, keeping his fingers crossed that in a day or 2, the keyboard will be in its fighting form again.

Happy with our find, we went to St.Paul the Apostle Church in Timog. Since Mass was at 12:15 pm, and since we had 45 minutes to spare, we went to Iceberg just across the street. the boys had banana split and cheesedog sandwiches. I gave the kids a background of the building which now houses the St Paul the Apostle Church. The circular building used to be a pubhouse, called The Spindle. It was there at lunch time, about 30 years ago when hubby and I had a lunch date. It was our second date (first was at Tropical Hut along Espana) and our third day of knowing each other. We finished lunch and I ended up saying “yes” to his proposal. We had many nights of dining and drinking at Spindle, got married after a few years, started a family, and found out years later that The Spindle building has been converted into a church. Interesting isn’t it? For a pub for drinking, partying, having a good time and enjoying the night life being coverted into a house of God.

We then had lunch at The Old Spaghetti House (TOSH) along Timog. We never tire of their food–pasta, salads, grills, meats, chicken, and desserts–they’re superb! We went home, BA and Vince installed the Mac Mini, now the kids are thinking of watching a movie at Trinoma. I will pass on that this time, as I still need to catch up on sleep before the midnight shift–managing a virtual assisting office. This is how to live life he way it should be, as a first step, relaxed, happy, content, and at peace with God. Good night world.
