My Mom - by Alan Jr

Let’s welcome a guest blogger, my youngest child, Alan Jr, 10 yo (child #7 of 7, son #4 of 4). He has been wanting to share his thoughts. I told him to post it in his website, then I would just quote it. Now, here, straight from the mouth of a babe…

My Mom is a Perfect mom… My mom gave birth to 7 children: 4 boys 3 girls. Mom never got mad at us even if we did something that is wrong. Mom just disciplines us. Mom always allows us to do what we want and buy what we want. Mom gives us our daily needs, items for projects, etc. My mom shares us stories.

If we ask her if there are any ghosts in one place, my mom tells us if there are. One time we went to Himlayang Pilipino to visit my cousin Belle. It was night when we were going home. I felt some ghosts and i went beside my mother. I asked “Mom are there any ghosts here?” my mom said “There are many, and they are standing”.

But my mom has never been afraid of ghosts, even when she saw many ghosts by herself, even if she was in another country. One time she saw a ghost by her bedside. When she woke up, she saw tissues scattered in the toilet. Probably, the tissues were scattered by the ghost.

There must be something in his mind when he correlated the ghost stories with his relationship with me. It’s just that little ones tend to believe what moms tell them—for of course, their lives revolve around mom. And yes, I see ghosts (real ones), but that’s another story.

Hi! Quite a wonderful letter from your son. Genuine honesty from little ones is a precious thing. :-) I’m curious about the ghosts thought, even though I’m easily frightened by horror stuff. ;-)

sexy mom: yes, kids their age are frank, still innocent! as to the horror stuff, i am not sure—i do not want to scare my dear readers.

  6. niceheart on April 10th, 2007 1:09 pm

You really are a special mom, sexy mom :). And I’ve always believed that only our children can tell what kind of a mother we are. And according to him, you are a great one. :) Cute boy, also. :)

sexy mom: thanks, Niceheart, we are all special, in the eyes of our little boys!

What a sweet kid! Your son thinks highly of you, tita. He thinks you’re so brave what with the ghosts incident and all :)

    Happy Tuesday, sexy mom!

sexy mom: thanks, Sasha, yes—he believes i am brave. Happy Wednesday (my favorite day of the week).

    very sweet of Alan Jr.

anyway I had this colleague who would usually say “oh there’s someone standing behind you” You see she sees things too. So everytime we have lunch, we would ask her…is there someone in the window? in the doorway? lol

sexy mom: not really during lunch time, it’s too early for them ghosts. LOL

His posts are funny—they sound very mature for a ten year old :)

sexy mom: how can he not sound that way, when he is surrounded by elder siblings. but you know, in terms of computer games—he is in the same level as his elder siblings. he even trouble shoots for them!

Wow. Just goes to show how great you are as a mother. I guess a child’s praise of his mother beats any award or commendation you can ever receive. Hope I can be a great mom to my daughter too.

    Belated Happy Easter!

    =D

sexy mom: thanks, Jayme, i am sure you will be a very good mom to baby Jamaine!

You know, I think Alan Jr. is lucky that he has a creative outlet for self-expression available to him, and that he belongs to a family of great bloggers who will encourage and help him write responsibly.

  17. Rach on April 10th, 2007 11:55 pm

Congratulations to Alan Jr for his first blog entry. He certainly wrote a very interesting piece. They say having a third eye is a gift. Personally, I’m too scared of the idea of ghosts and glad I’ve never seen one.

sexy mom: actually, this is not his 1st post, though he was in hiatus for a while. he started blogging in May 2006, i started in november 2006. as to ghosts, don’t worry, if you do not have the third “eye” you won’t see any. LOL

  18. ghee on April 11th, 2007 12:22 am

Allan Jr,blogging at ten??wowww!totoo ngang blog century kayo :)

thats so nice to hear from your own kid…that you are a perfect mom,you cant buy that happiness from any bookstores or video shops, hehe.

is it true?you can sense if there are ghosts?i believe that there is a sixth sense nga, pero yikes, tumayo ang balahibo ko rito, tulog pa naman na silang lahat, haha!

sexy mom: thanks, Ghee, you are right! these expressions from our kids cannot be bought elsewhere! as for ghost stories, di kita tinatako – you see, if you do not have an “eye” for them, you won’t see nor sense them, so don’t worry LOL

  19. BA on April 11th, 2007 1:00 am

I once wrote a piece for my creative writing class based on some of your ghost stories (and some wild imagination of my own), MOM. We were supposed to be the main characters. But, but, but, I got too freaked out of my own story and had to change the lead character’s name from BA to Carlo (whoever Carlo is, hehehe). Am gonna post it soon after I do some editing and polishing. It’s stuck in my blog drafts. Hehehe.

And, if I have time, I’ll make sipsip too and write something like this.

Oh wait, I’m gonna start now.

My Mom is the best Mommy. I am her favorite son. If you know our whole names, you’ll know why. I was named after her and Daddy! So that makes me the favorite one, right?

Hahahahaha. Am trying to polish my english skills too. Hehehe

sexy mom: hey, i know you! you are my child #3 of 7, son #2 of 4. yo, BA, do post that piece, how i love it! you’ll be my guest blogger, most welcome! as for making sipsip, well, well, well, what are you a Bernard (from my name) Alan (your dad’s name) for!

  20. Linnor on April 11th, 2007 4:36 am
