Ateneo La Salle Tickets–Where I Bought Them (Game 2)

+ A M D G + I called up TicktNet today. According to them, they opened their windows for ticket sales at 9 am—ALL SOLD OUT in 3 hours. And a lot of people who have lined up hours earlier, were not able to get tickets. Vince tried his luck in UP—he got 8 general admission tickets for the Championships. Not bad. Any kind of ticket will do—as long as we are able to watch live at the Araneta. I remember the last championship games between Ateneo and La Salle a few years back, we had difficulty getting tickets. BA won his ticket through a raffle in the Ateneo, while the rest of the tickets were from friends. While some of the family members were in the Araneta, some of us were at the Ateneo Moro Lorenzo Gym where wide screens were set up. One time we watched at Kublai Khan Mongolian Restaurant along Katipunan. The camaraderie and bonding with other fans and friends gives more excitement to watching the games. Someone has already offered to buy or tickets at premium prices, but again, my kids said, NOW WAY! See you at the Araneta on Thursday—my guess is that by then Ateneo will have been champion. Game 3 will not happen at all. GO ATENEO, ONE BIG FIGHT!

It’s just sad to note that scalpers were able to penetrate ateneo grounds for the tickets. As I was lining up for tickets yesterday, there was this group of people of dubious character (definitely not the yayas or drivers or parents that you see in ateneo) being given IDs by this person. It was so organized, they were being fed by their leader just to line up for tickets. Imagine, rubbing legitimate ateneo students the chance of watching the game because of them! I myself was only able to get Gen Ad tickets, while these scalpers got the prized ones. BTW, I’m an atenean mom.
