Good news—the ACET results were made available online between 2 to 3 am today, 5 January 2008—the full name (family, first and middle names) is required though, for individuals to see if they passed. The list has been posted outside the Blue Eagle Gym. Oh well, there are those who already knew that they passed, having seen the results online, who would still flock to the Ateneo to look at the list. The excitement of seeing their names and the names of their friends who passed, and which course they passed makes a lot of difference. The place is now full of people.
And here’s the other piece of good news:

Third son, Vincent, passed the ACET—BS Management Engineering (his first choice, 2nd being Management Honors, 3rd being Management). How proud we all are at home! BSME is an honors course, the cream of the crop, along with Management (Honors), Biology, Chemistry, Health Science, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, and a couple of others). Those who qualify for the honors courses are those in the top 15% of the ACET.
This makes Vince the third of my four boys to pass the ACET. The two others (Angelo and BA) also passed ACET—also for BSME, but in the end decided to study at UP for their college. Angelo completed an Economics course (a few more units, and he would have completed his Masters in Economics), and BA in his second year, Applied Physics. I do not know with Vince—it seems like he would prefer to continue his studies at the Ateneo. Whether he chooses to stay at the Ateneo or transfer to UP, it will be his choice—we will support him. We will continue to pray that he be guided accordingly. Our youngest son, Alan Jr, is still in grade 5, so he has a good 6 years to prepare. The two girls, Angela and Pauline, are now in their second and third year high school, rspectively. I wonder—will they follow the footsteps of their sister, Monica, who is now in her fourth year at the Ateneo School of Law?
By the way, for the second grading period, Vince’s Quality Point Index (QPI) boosted from 3.17 to 3.33, making him a second honor awardee in his batch. He hopes to maintain his honors till graduation day. Special thanks to the Ateneo and Sir Jampao Reyes, 4-B class moderator for mentoring his boys to where they are now—active, champions, passionate, music-oriented, talented, bonded, many other positives, and true exemplars of the 5-Cs (Christ-centered, academically competent, compassionate, commitment, men of conscience).
Congratulations, Vince! You make us proud. This is such a big achievement, and in the long run, a major challenge. And thank God—this is a wonderful blessing to start the year with!

Our congratulations to Vince, and of course, to you, Sexy Mom!
My son is a high school freshman (at the AHS)and we still have a little over 2 years before we stand at the same crossroads. I am excited, yet at the same time, a little fearful of that day. I draw inspiration, however, from your family’s stories of love and strength. Come that day, I hope we can stand as tall as you do today.
Blessings to you and the family always!

waa! hi there. i am super glad for your children I am currently studying in Phil. Science High School and I am now in final year. I took the entraNCe tests of UP, ADMU, UST and DLSU. Results for La Salle were already out and I passed with my first choice of course and now I am growing anxious for UPCAT results cause i thought it was gonna be posted today! We are kinda required to pass UPCAT since we are a science-oriented school. Anyway, I would be happy to pass UP but more ecstatic if I pass my scholarship in ADMU, i took BSME as my first choice. I hope ill pass!!
please pray for me, THANKS!

hi,
congrats to you & your son.I am also a proud mom
of 2.My son is now taking up AB in UPOU & my daughter just passed ACET (BS Math/BS Chem),& UPCAT (Pharmacy).Nice di po ba.Unfortunately,we were unaware that apllication for Ateneo scholarship must be submitted along with the admission application. With our small family income, there’s no way we could possibly enrol our kid in Ateneo. Can you share me your knowledge on how we could possibly work this out.I admire your achievements, and I believe you are more knowledgable than us regarding this matter. We are saddened by the fact that due to some technical failure,we lost our chance to be in this school of her dream .She has been consistently on top of her high school class in Bulacan State, graduated salutatorian in elementary. And she passed both the honor courses.
I would really appreciate your time & effort should you send me your comment ,suggestion or advice.More luck to you!
