$14 million dollar twins–Vivienne & Knox Jolie-Pitt’s first photos

The first photos and interview appeared in the Special Double Issue of the People Magazine.

It includes 19 pages of intimate family photos and the full interview with Brad and Angelina. Scanned copies of the People and Hello! magazines, which went the rounds in today’s emails are shown below.

It bothers a lot of people that the first photos of the Branjolina twins are worth millions of dollars, amidst the current global crisis—when millions of people are suffering (losing their jobs, unable to make both ends meet, high cost of gas, etc.) and millions are dying (in Africa and war-torn areas).

But it has been all over the papers that this extraordinary amount of money will be paid for pictures will be listed as a donation to the Foundation, which is run by a group called Foundation Source out of Long Island. Of course the magazines will get tax breaks.

According to Fox News, The Foundation currently claims $6 million in assets, excluding a $1 million pledge they made earlier this summer to the children from war families. The new money could bring their endowment to $20 million. Expect at least some of that to go to families in New Orleans and the American Gulf Coast where Pitt has shown in interest in Hurricane Katrina and Rita survivors who are still suffering.”

I have always been amazed with the couple’s acts of generosity, since the time they adopted Maddox from Phnom Penh. Since the time I saw a part of the setting where some parts of the movie, The Tomb Raider, were filmed in Siem Reap in 2001, I have followed the Branjolina saga.

Angelina Jolie has always been my idol b/c of the charity work that she has been doing and is still doing. I admire her courage and charitable deeds especially when it comes to adopting children of different nationalities and giving them a new and hopefully life.

Of course it bothers a lot of people that the photos are worth millions of dollars but there is nothing we can do. They are celebrities and no one will ever let them go. It may sound selfish of the press but we’ve learned that life has always been harsh unless we were born with silver spoons.

I love the photo spread of the whole family rejoicing in a wonderful moment.

I’m glad that the huge sum will go to a good cause.

Sa totoo lang naman, mas marami pa silang (rich celebs and businessmen) naitutulong sa mga tao kesa sa mga nakaupo sa mga gobyerno saan man sa mundo. :-)
