Mariha, A Blessing of a New Baby for Moin and Asia

February 27th, 2007 by Sexy Mom · Viewed 1314 times · 12 Comments

This morning, I received refreshing news from my 2 young Bangladeshi friends, Moin and Asia. I call them “young” friends because they are almost the same age as my son, J Angelo. Since meeting them about 2 years ago, we have exchanged emails. They call me their second mother, which I do not mind at all.

They have been married for a few years, and it took them some time before Asia conceived. Moin is completing his MBA in London. A few months ago just as soon as doctors gave the go signal to travel, Asia followed him, to be with him while waiting for the baby, and to be together in one of the happiest moments—on the birth of their baby. I have always been reminding them that being together is the essence of “family”. What is wonderful for them both is that they have the support of both parents. In their young marriage, their parents are always there to guide them.

Here is Moin’s email:

“Asia/Ruma and I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on 26 February 2007 at 1824 hours in the Watford General Hospital at London with all your blessings and prayers…..both the mummy and baby are fine mashallah but since mummy can’t have access to the net right away, I’m taking this great privilege to let her well wishers know about this little miracle called Mariha Chowdhury ….. you will find enclosed the very first pics of our angel….the proud papa…Mainu/Moin.”

Congratulations to Asia (the new mama), Moin, the proud papa and to the grandparents (Asia’s and Moin’s paernts). Being parents is one of the best blessings in life, but with it also comes a huge responsibilty. It will not always be easy, but it will also not be difficult. There is no one book in parenting, but trust your parental instincts in rearing Mariha. Parenting is a joy, it is a partnership, you Asia and you Moin on one hand, and your Allah on the other. I am happy to be part of your lives. May you always be happy and blessed with good health.
