The Filipina position in Google Search Engine Results Page (SERPs) is already improving—a true manifestation that our Campaign is indeed gaining ground, slowly, but surely.
Before I wrote this post, I searched for a a poem I wrote on the Filipina 15 years ago, during my “innocent” years. It was published in our school paper. Now, more than 30 years ago, The Filipina Maiden has become The Sexy Mom. I am sharing it with you.
The Filipina MaidenShe is a picture of simplicity and beauty
The typical girl of our new society
She possesses oriental features and means
Showing that she comes from the Philippines. She wears an impressionistic smile on her face
Her eyes glitter as she is full of grace
Everyone says that she is sweet and authentic
As she delights them with her soft music. She enjoys sports that fit her capability
Arts and sciences make up her ability
She shows modesty and talent in her ways
Her devotion to the church make up her days. She is ready to defend her country with pride
With courage, readiness and love to confide
She follows her country’s principles and laws
And supports the objectives the government shows. The Filipina Maiden is a true lover
For she is always ready to sacrifice for the other
She is faithful to her chores and duties
And seeks what is fit—which is justice.

hi all, here’s something to make you laugh. it’s the typical stereotype of our former first lady imelda and our DHs.
even if we’re thought of as maids, laborers, there’s always a funny side to everything. i hope you enjoy.
