Noemi Asks, Sexy Mom Says

June 3rd, 2007 by Sexy Mom · Viewed 8941 times · 41 Comments

A few days ago, I was reading Noemi’s answers to Migs Paraz’s interview. Now, it’s my turn to answer her questions. Initially, I was tempted to respond, “next question, please” to each of her questions, but it would be so unfair, I thought, as her questions were tailor made for me, and not just asked in jest.

Noemi asks: What is “sexy” in the eyes of a 40 something woman? Is it any different from the “sexy” of the less than 40 year olds?

Sexy Mom says, “Life begins at 40, or so they say, and that includes the concept of “sexy” at a higher level, yes, different from the “sexy” of the less than 40 years old. Sexy in the sense that one is now so sure of oneself, so secure in one’s status, particularly, the emotional state. It’s like one has the answer to most questions. Let me also say that “sexy” is relative, what may be sexy for one may not be for another. When a woman 40-ish says, “I am sexy”, most often than not, she means it and feels it.

Oh yes, physically, there may be gaps, even bulges here and there. But one would know how to deal with them, hide them in their proper places, by way of dressing in the right manner or posing for pictures in the right angle. These are inevitable, such that one comes to terms with all of these physical flaws and accepts them. Life is not anymore focused on “what others think of me”, but “what gives me satisfaction”. I am even reminded of a poem I wrote a few months back, My Body.

Let me just share with you what 60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS) says about women over 40.

“As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: Woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, “What are you thinking?” She doesn’t care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch the game, she doesn’t sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it’s usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course , if you deserve it, they won’t hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it’s like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They’ll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don’t ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.”

Noemi asks: What kind of proposals, comments, emails, web stats referral doyou receive because of your internet name “sexy mom”? Are they good or bad?

Sexy Mom says: Proposals, hmmmm, so far no indecent proposal, as yet. I receive various comments from my Readers who are in diverse age groups, from teenagers, to young adults, to adults, parents, young retirees, retirees. Their comments always make sense. However, there there are also Readers who are out just to make foul statements. I remember one or two who obviously made up an email address and made obnoxious comments. This was probably because the reader was looking up for some “sexy” sites, but ended up exasperated to find a “wholesome” site in The D Spot. Since comments from new readers are moderated, I had the liberty to delete the message. Because of this, I am now not be sure if the high web stats I get are because of the SEO for “sexy mom” or because readers are up to my “content”. Every now and then I would receive “junk” senseless emails, but it’s easy—no sweat, just delete them. This is the downside of calling oneself “Sexy Mom” in the blogosphere.

By the way, Sexy Mom was coined by my kids way way back, as far back as 10, 15 years, despite what stage of weight I was in—even when I was 25 lbs overweight 12 years ago. When I first wrote in my blog, they all agreed that I called myself Sexy Mom.

Noemi asks: You wrote in one of your earlier entries that your thick eyelashes are one of your beauty assets. What would happen if you had a case of falling eyelashes similar to falling hair and suddenly found yourself “bald” ?

Sexy Mom says: Oh my gosh! I would probably die! Kidding aside, as I would not yet like to die, I would probably in the first instance buy an expensive pair of branded sunglasses to cover my eyes, while mulling about what to do next. And I will not go elsewhere until I find a solution to grow my lashes at an instant. Honestly, I don’t know. HELP any suggestions?

Noemi asks: If you were to write a poem on each of your 7 children, how would you write it in 7 lines?

Sexy Mom says:

Angelo, first of my 7 blessings, wonderfully making a family of your own
Monica, late bloomer, feisty, sweet, it’s not a dream, you will be a lawyer soon
BA, temperamental, count 1,2,3…10, much better now, your good sense prevails
Angela, sweet 16, quiet, deep, what are you thinking now? what is in that smile?
Vincent, the dreamer, oneironaut, whatever that means, you speak your heart out
Pauline, jester in my heart, your laughter contaminates, you have a mind of your own
Alan Jr., my last but not my least, my shadow, let us build your dreams, baby.

Noemi asks: If you are called sexy mom, what is your concept of a “sexy dad”? Other than your husband and showbiz celebrities, who qualifies to sit the throne of “sexy dad”?

Sexy Mom says: I would assume that the “Sexy Dad” you are asking about is one who would be my counterpart in the blogosphere. Of course, “Sexy Dad” should, like me, have writing as his passion. He is one who romances the keyboard, one who waxes poetic, coming out with piece after piece of post that hits his Readers direct in the heart. He relates with his Readers so well, that his Readers come back and want for more.

Now, let me interview you, Here are the rules.

Interview rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone
else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them
five questions.

Oy I enjoyed formulating those questions.

hehe, and I enjoyed your answers. You do have lovely eyelashes. Well I was thinking if you had falling eyelashes, you could have some sort of transplant or learn to wear false eyelashes. I think the latter is doable.

The poem rocks. Nice. It shows the varied personalities of your kids.

SexyMom: Noemi, your sexy questions were tough! but i did enjoy answering them, with matching sweat, laughter and tears.

  • myepinoy // Jun 3, 2007 at 8:56 pm

I believe you are, 100+%. No doubt. about it.

    Let me add these:

Any piece of clothing can be sexy with a quietly passionate woman inside it.- Anonymous
No matter what a woman looks like, if she’s confident, she’s sexy.- Paris Hilton
The creative person basically has two kinds of jobs: One is the sexy, creative kind. Second is the kind that pays the bills. Sometimes the task in hand covers both bases, but not often. This tense duality will always play center stage. It will never be transcended. – Hugh Macleod

SexyMom: nice ones, myepinOy! i like Anonymous’ piece of clothing thingey.

  • Rach // Jun 3, 2007 at 9:44 pm

Hi Dine. I’ve just been interviewed recently but the questions were light and easy. I had fun answering each one. The questions you got are quite in-depth and I love how you answered each one.

I like how you defined being sexy. I believe Sexy Mom suits you really well.

The poem about your 7 children is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

SexyMom: hi, Rach, i’m wondering—a poem for Yohan, please? in 4 lines.

  • Belle // Jun 3, 2007 at 10:01 pm

I really appreciated what: 60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS) says about women over 40.

This is really true, for me too, as 47 yrs. old already…...I accepted this…..

Life begins at the age of 40, it depends upon the person having 40´s——-
Health?...when I begin this, started all my aching or feeling that I can’t understand…...
    Feeling that I don’t know whatever means….physically n emotionally,

Proposal? Comments…for me, my name in my blog too…..MAHALKAAYO….......”very Expensive”

Means for having this Age, I would agree when my husband called me…...very Expensive or very DEAR…...and friends, new and old call me this nickname too…........

    heheheheheheheheh…...
    Eye lasses…........gives me funny…...
Presently I have a problem of my nose, after my OP, it seems that it become more flat and opened-hole….hahahahhaha

And I say to my Man….99% I would corrected this….whatever happen, financially or the Insurance will not pay this,....I would let the surgery Doctor….REPAIRRRRRRRRRRR, it….heheheh

Wow….........very sweet your POEM…...7 Lines of Poem to your Kids…......Head off talaga ako sa iyo, Sexy mom….....

    Sexy Dad….......hmhmhmhm, personal…....

Thanks for sharing, Sexy mom…...you are really a great and sexy mom…......
