It’s only the middle of the week, but it has already been a week of bountiful blessings!
A Scrabble set
Annamanila knew all the time that in my heart of hearts, I wanted a Scrabble set similar to what she has in her office—a lock-in grid that keeps letter tiles being played firmly in place (oh my, this is wonderful!), a turntable base, a rotary board that allows players a flexible view of the game in progress and extra sturdy tile racks and letter tiles in a matching pouch bag. By the way, this is a local product, by Eureka Toys & Games.
Had I won her “Your Royal Weirdness or Mine” contest I would have won the Scrabble set as a prize. Unfortunately, Chats was judged the weirdest, and I was only a runner up for my mascara thingey entry
Annamanila has found a reason—why not an advanced Christmas gift, she said. Can’t be a birthday gift, as mine would be in February yet. Thanks Annamanila, you made not only me happy, but my also 10-year old Alan Jr. He is addicted to Scrabble as I am, and the other family members have also been joining our games.
Harry Potter tickets
Bella from the US emailed me—she has bought opening night Harry Potter tickets, as part of their fund raising project for the UP XDS Association, Inc.’s Scholarship Program. I had the tickets picked up yesterday in UP. Tonight, I will watching the movie with 4 of my kids and hubby at SM Cinema 2 tonight. Thanks a lot, dear Belle, you have not only contributed to the scholarship fund—you have made 6 hearts happy.
Breakfast at Portico 1771 in Serendra

I got an invite from Noemi to join her and Jayvee for breakfast at Portico 1771 in Serendra. Chats and I went together yesterday morning. As hubby was on his way to another meeting in Bicutan he joined us. We had a cozy breakfast with Noemi and husband Butch, and Jayvee’s parents and brother, Angelo.
Portico 1771 offers Filipino breakfast. I had Winnerli Sausage and Onions for my main course, while hubby had Kesong Puti Fried in Butter.
Hubby had to contact some people and open his emails—gee, see what free and open WiFi can do. No hassle in logging in to the system, and one can do some work in style, in an easy and refreshing ambience that is in Portico 1771. One can’t help but admire the huge, bright colored paintings that abound in one of its walls (almost next to the ceiling).
What did I like most? Their sinful concoction called Nuts Here and There, which comprised pecan and walnut brownies with sticky toffee and dates, almond biscotti sticks with hazelnut nougtine icre cream, and their original coffee bean sans rival.
It was a lively conversation we had with Jayvee and his family, Noemi and Butch and Chats. Hi, Angela (that’s Jayvee’s mom—we hope to see you soon in the blogosphere). Here are some pictures (Noemi—I had to borrow the first 4 pictures from you, thanks!)

Wow, power breakfast!
I want to have that scrabble set, too! I hope it’s available at stores already. Our family loves playing scrabble, too, and our set shows it. Too much wear already. Some tiles are hardly readable. Time for a new improved set.
Sexy Mom: it is a very nice one, let me ask the manufacturer where they can be bought.
Kyels // Jul 11, 2007 at 12:46 pm
